Palazzo Cordusio, a Gran Melia Hotel

Hand luggage stolen while in Hotel possession Visited Milan for weekend and for pre Christmas shopping , stayed for 2 nights at Grand Melia Palazzo Cordusio.Hotel is nice , location great , but everything else below par for 5- star hotel. Highlight of the stay is probably the worst thing ever happened to me while staying at any hotel. During checkout , hotel staff collected my luggage (2 suitcases) from the room. Within minutes my taxi arrived and when I asked for luggage to be loaded into the vehicle, person who collected bags from the room in very calm manner with smile on the face informed me that there is a small problem, yes very small problem, my hand luggage was taken by random person in front of bell boy, doorman and security and freely fled the hotel. Everyone saw what happened and did nothing. As most of my valuables were in the hand luggage watches , bags, jewellery I knew immediately it wasn’t by accident that my case was taken, and staff behaviour and actions afterwords prove to this point. 
 Police attended scene, criminal investigation ongoing , police report filled to the Italian police and despite reassurance from hotel GM that hotel accepts full responsibility and liability nothing have happened, very poor or no communication and responses to my legal team since. I was holding back writing this review in hope that hotel will act in proper manner and efficiently resolve this incident. Unfortunately no appropriate response or action yet.

Stay away Horrifying Experience – Theft, Suspicious Behavior, and Unprofessional Staff My stay at this hotel was nothing short of horrifying. After withdrawing 3,500 euros from the hotel’s safe, I had the money in my coat pocket 1900 inside the wallet the rest was not as I headed toward the elevator. Unfortunately, I fell down the stairs and broke my leg. The staff helped me back to my room, and due to my injury, I couldn’t move or check my belongings right away. The next day, before the ambulance arrived to take me to the hospital, I finally had the chance to check my coat and realized that part of the money was missing. It hadn’t gone missing on its own—it was stolen while the staff was assisting me. When I reported the theft to the hotel management, they initially promised to check the security cameras but made me wait for three hours. After that, they claimed I needed to provide a police report. Despite my broken leg, I went to the police station in a wheelchair to get the report. After all the effort I made, they gave yet another excuse, saying it was too late at night and I needed to wait until morning. The following morning, they refused again, saying a police officer needed to be present for them to open the footage. I strongly believe that the hotel staff knew who stole the money and were trying to cover it up. Their constant delays and excuses were highly suspicious. To make matters worse, every time I bought something from the market, the bags were sealed with stickers, closed very tightly. But each time I returned to my room, I found the bags opened, as if someone had been going through them to check what was inside. On top of this, my previous room smelled terrible, like a drainage issue, which made my stay even worse. Initially, the staff treated me kindly, but once I obtained the police report, they became hostile and treated me very poorly. Their behavior only added to my suspicion that they were covering for someone. This hotel was a complete disaster, both in terms of safety and professionalism. I would warn anyone considering staying here to stay far away. Something very suspicious is going on. I have the police report but for safety reasons i cant post it

Went to this Hotel for the first time whilst in Milan. Since I know well the city as we are frequent travellers we decide to try this Hotel. Rooms are well appointed , great size and very comfortable. The breakfast room is a the main bar on the ground floor , beautiful settings and fast and friendly service. We had dinner upstairs at the Japanese Sachi , good choice , good food and service just ok. For lunch we choose the bar for a comfort food and it was delicious , Juan our server was nice and friendly. At the Guest experience , nothing was ever a problem , very well run Hotel , will be back for sure. Overall a wonderful stay with professional and super relaxed personnel that made the difference compared to other Hotels of this kind in Milan.
