Hotels near Fontana di Piazza San Babila in Milan

You are basically paying for the location with this hotel. It is about a 3 minute walk to the cathedral which is amazing. The rest of the hotel if poor, the rooms are very old, it was january and yet the room was very stuffy and warm, taps were rusty, stains on the carpet. The staff were friendly!

I always prefer not to post bad reviews, but I am obliged to do so, in order for both, the hotel and the travelers, to be alarmed of the exprience of someone who stayed there. To be honest, I did check the reviews before coming and they were mostly bad, but I was on a business trip with 3 others, and it was the company who reserved the rooms for us. I will list below my experience: - The bathroom was the worst thing I have ever seen in a hotel!!! It was all rusty. From the sink, to the soap holder to the bathtub! Rustttttt everywhere. Also, the shower curtain was dirty, in the most disgusting way. Though its color was white, the edges were brown, a sign of how old and dirty it is. The bathroom door’s edges were rotten and awful. - The room was furnished in an old-fashioned way. The wood veneer was blue. BLUE! Can’t get any worse. My friends didn’t like their mattresses. Mine was good and I slept well. - Breakfast wasn’t bad, but not good either. - The 2 elevators took ages to come!!! we waited and waited and waited…. - The hotel was very clean, like extremely. Except for the rust, everything was clean! From the entrance to the hallways and the rooms. The housekeeping team might be the 2nd best thing in the hotel after the location. - Location: perfect! Right behind the Duomo and a short walk from Piazza Fontana, where you can take a cab. I gave the hotel 2 stars only: 1 for the location, and 1 for the housekeeping team. Our company won’t surely book us here next year for the Milan Design Week. The hotel’s management should read every single review here and work accordingly.

Apart from the construction in front of the hotel, the room has a great view, almost able to see Duomo. There was a great variety of breakfast and we enjoyed the service.

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

The location is excellent, a few minutes away from the left turn is the shopping area, and a few minutes away from the right turn is the cathedral and the Promenade II. The front door is very small, and the room is much smaller than the pictures you see. It is booked for 4 people, but there is no room for the sofa bed to be opened, so it can only accommodate 2 people. The room was reasonably clean.

This is the first review for this hotel. The service is really excellent. The staff are very attentive and pay attention to details. They are very enthusiastic. Every time I go to the front desk, I ask if I want something to drink. Before leaving, there are slippers, make-up remover wipes and cotton pads in the room. I´m not sure how it is like to stay at Ostelzzz for several nights, but I find it a very convenient solution for me who arrived around midnight in Milan, and already had leave from Milano Centrale by noon on the next day. I had a proper sleep for one night in a capsule. It really was a hostel, but with so much better privacy. Staffs were extremely kind and helpful. They gave me a welcome drink. Online check-in in advance made my actual check-in so much easier. Had everything I needed, incl breakfast, towel too. Clean and well-organized. Breakfast was simple, but more than good enough for me. I wouln´t hesitate to choose Ostelzzz next time.

Such a super hotel! We were skeptical at first as we had never booked hotels on trip.com. However, we gave it a try and Rosa Grand Milano was superb. I am really surprised by the 67 folks who gave this a terrible rating whereas over 1,000 gave it an excellent rating. I do not agree with the 67 - who have it 1 star because of service/parking/bill etc. THIS IS A FANTASTIC HOTEL- take my word for it. The location is perfect & room is comfortable and clean. The breakfast had everything one could possibly want - breads, pastries, fruits, cold cuts, eggs- boiled and scrambled, chicken sausages and also some kind of polenta which was great! I gave only 4 stars for service as - it was a bit slow - like bringing us coffee pods which was not left in the room when it was cleaned and it took then forever to send it up. This is one of the best hotels I stayed in Italy and I highly recommend this place.

Good location with nice decorations, the room was really nice. But just one thing i dont understand is i am platinum member but my room was lowest floor with parking view just in front of the elevator so ppl can see us every time when we opened the door. And one of room was accessible room.. but didnt inform us about this. So it was a bit disappointed but the room was actually good. Before arrival i saw my room was upgraded but when we actually arrive no more upgrade and accessible room in front of elevator. Reception staff was friendly and the breakfast staff, the lady was nice too. Breakfast quality was great too. Actually everything was really good but just a little sad about room assignments. But it is still one of nice hotel in Milan.

Sadly we will be checking out of The Gray Milan tomorrow - it has been a fantastic stay here, and we would definitely stay again, and recommended to friends. The staff are so friendly and helpful – we are really enjoyed talking to them and they have been so helpful and attentive. The location is spectacular – we walk out of the hotel front front door and have a view of the Duomo. You couldn’t ask for a better location The rooms are clean, comfortable, modern and full of all the amenities you could want. Our room has a view of Galleria Vittorio Emmanuel II which is gorgeous. They have a small bar downstairs, and a cozy place to enjoy breakfast. When it rained, they had umbrellas for us to use. This was our second visit to Milan, and we would definitely stay at this luxury hotel again next time.
