Avoid this hotel. The staff are unfriendly and constantly vanish (so much for 24hr reception) to the point my wife was locked outside when she went for a cigarette. I had to go down and let her in. This happened to another guest also (and we allowed her in). The hotel is extremely run down. There is no lift so you need to take your luggage up the extremely narrow stairs. We were on the 3rd floor. The room is antiquated. The decoration terrible (imagine giving a young child a paintbrush and paint… it looks like this.. The aircon didn’t work, which meant we had to open the window… except the locals appear to use the street outside as a pseudo race track. So no chance of a good nights sleep. Which leads to the bed… The bed is not comfortable, and you’re left with a single sheet for warmth. We found bite marks all over us the next day. Google indicates these are from bed bugs. Lovely. The bathroom is small, poorly lit and feels like a prison bathroom. The drain has a tile over it which moves easily and can cause you to slip/trip. We were due to be spending 4 nights in this hotel, but after the first night - we booked another hotel (which was MUCH nicer) first thing the next day. I told the staff member that it wasn’t suitable and we were checking out. He shrugged and put the key down and walked away. When we left, I sent an email to try and get even a partial refund. No reply. Over the course of the week, I sent other emails. No reply. If you’re in Milan, I would suggest any other hotel.

We had stayed in the room that faces the street if you look out of the window that is beside the study table. Stayed here for a week, it has a vintage character ”feel”to it. Cleanliness is ok, I had tested the housekeeping if they change our towels daily. Everything is tidy when we return every night. Even my personal belongings were organized neatly after rushing out (tornado of a mess) of the hotel for a tour. This hotel is near Wagner station thru metro so commuting was a breeze..... Receptionists (a young lady from Sicily and the guys) were superb especially Domenico. I love the coffee here and the breakfast is ok, I like the cold cuts selection and cheese for my breakfast sandwitch. How I wish the sliced tomatoes and cucumber was available daily. It appeared only once during our stay.

Inflexible with check in times, cocky attitude by staff and general unhelpfulness. Definitely not professional. I have booked hotels in both personal and professional capacity for more than 20 years now. Never have I ever come across such blatant unhelpfulness and inflexibility as well as cocky attitude before this hotel. I booked for my partner and I last minute this hotel in Milan as we had an appointment the following day. When booking with a non-refundable fee, I didn't see, that their check in time is from 3-8pm but one can request late check in. My request for a check in at 11pm due to my flight arriving late to another Italian airport was rejected automatically. When I called the hotel to clarify the situation, I spoke to numerous people, who said different things, such as we have to pay for late check in (never heard this one before!) but the main message was: if you are not arriving by 8pm basically we won't let you in. On Monday before my flight I spoke to someone who claimed to be the manager and he said that he will organise for us a late check in as long we tell him EXACTLY when we arrive. I said I am not sure when that will be, it all depends on the flight, right? But of course, I will keep them posted. My flight was delayed 4 hours. But even while this was happening, my partner was trying to let them know I am arriving with delays. They were not only refusing to let us into the hotel, they lied to Booking . com Customer Service saying that they told us that the cut off time for check in was 10pm. They never responded to my official email where I requested late check-in so the booking platform couldn't refund us our money for this night as there was nothing in written form saying that they refused us arriving late. Throughout all phone conversations they were downright rude to us both. Then, in order to claim their money they showed our booking in the system as ”no show”. We had to book another hotel for that night and spend hours on the phone to Customer Service on the booking platform to explain the situation to them. AVOID BOOKING THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS
