Nice hotel with lovely views over the coast (assuming you have a front room). Decent restaurant, lovely clean pool (but not heated). Staff helpful, rooms comfortable with decent sized bathroom. Good to have curtains that block light, fridge and kettle.

I am starting the second week of my stay at the Royal Hotel in Peraia, having decided after a somewhat difficult year to spend a fortnight on.my own. I have been to Greece many times, but not to central Macedonia. I did my 'due diligence , and the Royal Hotel was the only one that fulfilled all of my criteria. Over the years, primarily on business, I have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world. The excellence of service and the value For money here, would be incredibly difficult to surpass. Regrettably the staff will have (DV) to endure me for another fortnight, next June .......

I traveled alone and chose this hotel because of the distance to the airport and the pool. It was a wonderful experience. The pool, the rooms, the cleaning and the service are perfect. The hotel is located between Peraya and Thessanoliki, and those at the reception helped to order taxis both from the hotel and back. Very good service! You get two water bottles in the room every day. Water was also served by the pool. I did not get this every day. Especially on the weekends, many locals came to the pool. The food was ok and very cheap. 9 euros for a meal. My favorite was the toast and chicken club sandwich.

The room was good, the bed was comfortable and the shower excellent . The lighting in the room was terrible. The bedside light did not shine on the bed so you couldn't see to read in bed and you had to get out of bed to turn the light off. There was a balcony overlooking, well nowhere. This hotel is on top of a hill surrounded by fields. It's well out of Thessaloniki very near the airport. On the plus side we couldn't hear airport noise. Ni toiletries and bathrobes. The safe in the room didn't work, and it wasn't mended despite my reporting it. Staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely but the food wasn't very nice. Breakfast was very basic.

Spent over £30,000 there over the years One serious complaint and got a letter saying our future 8 booked holidays had been cancelled and to never visit the hotel again Could not believe what happened. The complaint ? a member of staff being continually RUDE and the manager condoned it.

A great place to stop overnight between flights. Clean, modern hotel with a lovely pool area overlooking the sea. Our well appointed double room was spacious with an outside terrace overlooking the countryside. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was excellent and freshly prepared. Only small quibble was the incessant, anodyne pop music in the dining room but I am soon to be a pensioner!

Traveling often and staying in many 5* hotels in Greece and abroad, I want to emphasize that Royal is equally and better than many of them!! Both types of rooms, double and junior suite, that I stayed in for 4 nights, were built and equipped with expensive materials, spotlessly clean, with comfortable mattresses, well maintained like new, as is the entire hotel. Quality everywhere in the lobby, elevator, pool loungers, restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff very helpful, all Greek - they have been working in this for years -, polite, more than 5*, true professionals.
