Nice and cute hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are clean, cute and have a nice fresh modern beachy athmospere. The room has nice details like bathrobes, bathslippers, mandala drawing set to relax, lovely minibar, free welcoming water bottle, showergels and many more. The room we had was small, but I still really enjoyed it. We spend out last night in another room and that one was more spacious, so that’s just luck. Unfortunately there was one thing bothering us and that was the bad WiFi connection. First room was okay but the second was not even connecting at all. So that’s really a thing. I’ve seen this in some other reviews from the hotel also. The spa is not big, but just enough to relax a little bit. Looks great and clean. The restaurant attached to it is a very nice one. Very kind and helpfull staff. We got the fish and chips by recommandation of the waiter and that was just amazing. Made with DAILY fresh catched fish and well priced for that kind of quality. As they buy the fish fresh everyday you have the chance it’s sold out because they ran out of fish. Also the chicken croquettes from the snack menu were amazing. It has a kind of indian curry flavour.

I must admit that writing negative service statements is probably the least funny things I could imagine during my own vacation. But, my latest experience, even before arrival at the Marriot Vacation club, was so annoying that I cannot resist doing it. I am not sure how bad this review would have been if I was not enjoying a fantastic private pool with the family in another location while writing my comment. We are owner at the MVC Son Antem since a couple of years and do hold Platinum Elite status (after titanium for some years) of the Bonvoy Programme. We requested a paid upgrade from a 2 bedroom villa to a three bedroom villa. We were sent from MVC Reception and hotline to the resort check in reception. After directly approaching our MVC seller, our request was again sent to the resort reception. It was obvious that the coordination between the two parties was lacking. Even worse: after our complaint we were sent an e-mail confirming that there was no capacity. Further, we were told that the request should have been handled by MVC. But, as a matter of politeness he answered our mail. Then, we called the hotel and asked if there was a chance to enter the villa a bit earlier than 4 pm. This was the worst call I could think of. We were lectured in the worst tone ever that check in was 4 pm. After telling that we as platinum elite member would appreciate if he could at least check availability, sine we also do not request late check out, he within a second confirmed no availability and that check out time is 10 am. No matter what status AND: he really hung up on me!!!! I called again and this guy really told me I was the one hanging up or the line might have broke. Absolutely incredible. At this location I do not even feel honored as a guest, not to think of being welcomed back as a loyal Bonvoy Member. I am sure we’ll will enjoy our vacation, but surely not expecting any kind of service quality. We have used several locations at MVC already, all good so far. I hope it was just bad luck, but seems more like structural issues. Thomas

There're hundreds of hotels in the area. Don't go to this one. It's expensive and has poor conditions. The first thing that I noticed when I arrived was that it didn't have a ramp to facilitate the access of people with mobility difficulties. The second detail was that you were CHARGED for the WIFI 4€ DAILY. I have never seen that before. Also you were given a big and a small towel per person. Not a bath math, and they were refusing to give you any edtra towel. Towels are quite old, by the way. They tried to make money in every single possible way. The dinner does not include a single drink, not even water, and you can't take your own drinks. Most nights, there weren't many options, mainly salad. Nice the first night, but fed up after a week. Food taste was meh, but not horrible. If you want a decently quiet stay, it's not a good option. The place was full of drunk people. The first night, I saw how the man next to my door fell and opened his head. He was so drunk that barely knew where he was. It's not the right place if you aren't partying 24/7. I was told that I could notify reception of what room was causing noises, but there were a few per level. Impossible mission. I had an extra problem. My room had an air conditioner that leaked. I was told that they couldn't send anyone to fix it because the maintenance staff finished their shift at 5. What about emergency maintenance? I complained lots because it was a hazard. Their answer was to put a towel, which was getting soaking wet. They didn't have other rooms available. It took them 3 days to have another room free. I didn't receive any compensation for the inconvenience. Why not just 1 star? Because the staff. THE STAFF WAS NICE, THE ONLY GOOD THING. I feel sorry for them. They face lots of abuse.

I’ll go through the good points first as this isn’t just a rant. Cheap. We paid £270 for 3 nights bed and breakfast. Good location. Room was ok, shower warm. But bath was cracked and damaged. Aircon was ok. Breakfast was adequate. Staff on the whole were quite nice and friendly. Bad points: The lifts were a night mare. 4 lifts. None were working at 1 point. Throughout the stay the most that worked was 2. And you could only get 6 people in. We asked for fresh sheets to be told no. They didn’t replace the toilet paper when we ran out. No ironing board. Breakfast was wrapped up and everything off and taken away at 1030 sharp. €3 euro a day for a safe?! And then had to pay €20 cash deposit for the key. Cldnt use card. I never draw cash out these days but had to ti protect my valuables. Daft all round. Just make the safes PIN code and add the cost to the room. I feel the staff did the best with what they had but it’s a management failing to invest in new lifts and not be tight with buffet To be fair I would use again if on a budget for the lads on a bender. Don’t bring your misses her. Or she’ll leave you!

GGuest UserI love this hotel, so forgive me if my review is a bit gushing! And sorry for the length too! Everything about this place is good, but it's the staff who really make it stand out. Every single person we encountered, from bar and restaurant staff to cleaning and maintenance people, was friendly and helpful. Food: breakfast is an all you canneat buffet and has a wide variety. Most of the guests are German so you can expect a good selection of cold meats (the local cameiot is my favourite) and cheeses, and lots of different types of bread. Also plenty of fresh fruit (including the best oranges I've ever eaten), typical cooked breakfast with deliciously crispy bacon, an omelet station where they will make you an omelet to order, a couple of types of cereal. The cooked breakfast had a couple of surprises .. brussels sprouts one day, churros the next. Coffee is from a machine, and if you hunt you'll find the one which does decaff. Dinner is a multi-course affair. First is the extensive salad buffet, next you choose from 2 soups (one hot and one cold .. don't miss the salmorejo), then you choose from.a couple of starters, then your choice of main, and finish with dessert buffet. No coffee. Our room (108) had a balcony with a sea view .. I think all the rooms probably do face the sea. Very clean and comfortable. Occasional water pressure issues to be expected in such a dry place. Pod coffee machine in the room, pods (aka capsules) from reception at €1 each. Safe in the room was free. Fridge in the room too. Pool always immaculate and warm. Good poolside shower was very welcome too. Thick towels available from reception for a deposit (which they take off your final bill). We actually spent more time at the beach than the pool .. sandy beaches a short walk away. Some have quite a thick click of black sea**** at the ahoreline ... just move on to the next bit of beach for clear turquoise water which is seawees free. Beware a few rocks under the sandy floor .. you can see them through the clear water so make sure you pay attention and dont stub your toe! They are environmentally conscious with a refillable glass caraf in the room for filling from the chiller in reception, also refillable glass water bottles for €3.50 in the restaurant (you don't get to keep the bottle .. that's extra. And you can't bring your own water to the restaurant). They change neither bedding nor towels unless you signal that you want them to.

GGuest UserStayed here from in the first week in February 2022 . I have to say it was a rather good experience. Staff excellent, rooms adequate, and cleaned every day . The breakfast was a decent start to the day . The bar in reception is a local bar full of great local characters. The hotel was reasonable priced and the bar prices excellent. In high season it is a rowdy area so low season is probably best if you don’t want the to mingle with the rowdy crowd

GGuest UserWe couldn’t have been happier with our hotel and where it was. It was busy but still a nice place. We had a warm welcome from reception with lots of info. Despite being early for check in our room was ready. Loved the balcony and big bed. Food was great, the cakes and yoghurt was so creamy. Managed to do as much sunbathing on the beach as shopping in the town, got best of both. This was just a great place for us, glad we did the research.

JJames Downs-FordDidn’t go for the food package so would have been nice to have some sort of tea and coffee making facilities and possibly a small fridge already in the room. I did notice a poster at reception for a fridge with €40. Not sure if this is a deposit or a charge. Location is good with access to both EMT and TIB busses, EMT is cash only and TIB allows you to tap on and off with a regular bank card. Prepare for your bathroom to become a slippy wet room, as the cleaners never replace wet towels or floor mats. The shower quickly overflows. Also to fit on the toilet the right way you’d have to be 4”2 so you have to sit on it sideways as the wall is right in front of it.

My partner and I have just returned to London after a weeks stay in Hotel Costa Mediterraneo. We had a lovely holiday on a budget. One thing we could not fault was the cleanliness. Wherever you went it smelt of nice clean soap and the bed linen/towels were fresh. Check in was quick, we arrived around 2am and had to pay the usual tourism tax, which being a 2 star hotel, it wasn’t very much at all. It obviously has been recently renovated, yes the further you go up the stairs the older the flooring becomes but come on- who goes on holiday to moan about old floors? I really didn’t mind our room, the bed was big and super comfortable, even a third bed which we used as clothes storage! Freshly painted walls and very clean. The wardrobe was nice and new with 10 hangers and there was a safe too but we did not use. The bathroom was basic but we had no problems with water temperature and enjoyed our daily showers. This hotel gave me Travelodge vibes. So, now the things we think could definitely be improved upon to gain more clientele. I really think as a hotel you need to listen to the reviews about noise and come up with a solution. It was the only thing to be honest that made us slightly unhappy with our stay! We had room 408 which was right next to the elevator and it kept me awake most nights… you could hear it going up and down, people’s conversations, and the lift door being smashed against the walls when people open it. Breakfast was raised to 9 euros during our stay, we tried it once, arriving at 9:15am. What was left of the baguette was not enough for two people and didn’t get replenished but the scrambled eggs and bacon did. I don’t think it was worth 9 euros but it was nice to enjoy the “hotel experience” and the food was nice! We thought there was a drainage problem as every morning when we flushed the loo a smell of rotten eggs filled the bathroom for around 30 mins- 1 hour. And lastly, the TV situation! I asked reception if there was any English channels as we couldn’t find any and they said there was 2 or 3 but alas we couldn’t find anything. The TV itself is super small and placed on the wall far away so if you’re blind like me it’s a little tricky!

After reading reviews on line I was worried about this holiday. I am Very pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised. The pool - was a good size with the pool up top being a good depth for little ones the bigger pool had a good deep end. The best rule was the pool didn’t open until 10am so I got a good lie in and still got a good sun lounger. Although I have to say there was plenty of sun loungers available. The life guard was very good too. I am sure the kids would have preferred inflatables and I thought I was going to miss them but honestly I didn’t. I took the kids diving sticks to keep them entertained. The food and bar - There was a good variety of food with some beautiful traditional dishes. The fish was lovely and fresh. Breakfast had everything you could ask for. I didn’t eat the lunches as I preferred the pool snack food. They also have a fridge with sandwiches which I am sure you are allowed to take if you are going out for the day. The bar staff were always there with a smile to serve and if your lucky Eddie Cruz will give you a dance and pour at the same time. As for the cup idea. I actually think it’s really good for the environment and they will change it for a new one you only have to ask. I think this will really catch on. The room - we were in a room on the 4th floor and had great views. The air con works but isn’t very strong. Sadly we did come across ants. Once we placed a call to reception they soon came up and sprayed them and cleaned them up. They also left us the can in case they came back which sadly they did. They seemed to like my daughter’s perfume as they went for her clothes mainly. We had a one bedroom With 2 single beds pushed together in the main room and the pop up beds in the lounge area. These were a little hard for our teenage children but once we mentioned this to Ginger our lovely smiley housekeeper she was good enough to get my son a thicker mattress. The rooms and hotel was very clean with the rooms cleaned every day. They had a fridge but no freezer and actually had enough space. The entertainment - they were all very lovely. Some good activities around the pool and they tried in the evening. I would recommend if you plan on staying to take a pack of cards or UNO to play. It’s not a huge hotel so 4 entertainers run everything including the mini club. Reception - Anne and the manager were really very helpful. With lots of ideas and tips for the local area. Again always helpful and smiling. The location - a great little beach only 5 mins away where we had our first cliff jumping experience. We also managed to get some great pictures from the forte up the road which was very beautiful especially at sunset. I know this is a long review but I thought I would help put other peoples mind at ease if they are planning to come here. We honestly really enjoyed ourselves

AAbbie SThe hotel online is a complete catfish- it says it has been refurbished but I can assure you only the lobby and sky bar has been refurbished nothing else. The all inclusive is very Limited, I understand the three drink rule however the options you have are even more limited. Only San Miguel and wine at dinner/ tea. And through the day only fizzy drinks available. Then the food is very repetitive, and could have been the cause to my partner being stuck on the toilet for one of the days. The sky bar is beautiful however you pay full price - for all drinks including coke/ San Miguel etc. even though in the lobby the coke is fee and San Miguel is half the price you pay at the sky bar. This hotel also advertises that there is a DJ on in the evening however the whole time we were there, there was no DJ just music which wasn’t even loud. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a gent who had two black eyes (which wasn’t a great start) we asked about a safe which was €10 deposit and €3 a day. Also asked to pay €22.50 tourist tax (higher than expected). We then went in the lifts up to our floor the lifts are scary and small also very dirty- writing scratched into them. We entered our room, which the door was all chipped away at, and was greeted with two twin beds and a kids park view (although we booked sea/pool view.) There is no tea/ coffee facilities in bedroom, the shower leaks and is mouldy, no tv remote, silver fish bugs in the wardrobe, ***** on the mattress (under sheet) and then to top it off we booked a adults only hotel to get away from children, for a break, yet the children’s park is full of children until at least 2am (we’re not party people so like a sleep before a busy day.) In the dining room there was a cockroach, which put us off our food- even though this was the only day we were eating , and when chilling around the pool there was either a revolting fish smell or sewage smell which was very unpleasant when trying to relax. Having spoken to a few people who were in the same hotel as us they said the same - the hotel being advertised for something it isn’t, and I definitely won’t be booking this or recommending it to anyone.
