We cancelled our stay!
The swimming pool was closed and that was the main reason we wanted to stay there. Service at the front desk was super slow. The lobby was backed up with people waiting to check in. We cancelled our stay, mostly because the pool was closed. Management didn’t even offer us any upgrade or any free service to make up for the pool being closed.

Swimming pool at of service. Most activities weren’t available during this time. We wasn’t told about that. Not as nice as advertised especially for senior citizens.

The Zermatt is a unique Swiss Alpine atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are well kept.

Run down property with mosquito breeding ponds
Front desk employees were amazing!!! The hotel itself needs to be renovated, it is falling apart and maintenance definitely is not a priority. The furniture is old and needs refinishing, broken tiles and carpet coming apart can be found everywhere. The ponds on the property are just mosquito breeding grounds with no circulation or maintenance. Don’t stay on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday if you want to eat at a restaurant on site. Our AC was set to 60 and couldn’t get the temp below 75. We stayed in the Penthouse suite. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Lots of character, but disappointing amenities. The pool was cold. Hot tub cool. The lounge was not open and the bakery closed early. It was not what I expected.

It's a beautiful location. Our room had some mildew in the bathroom from the Cleaners missing spots. Not good sign.
AC was absolutely atrocious. Had then send a tech to look at it. He closed the service call with no Remedies. Could not get the room warmer than 75 the whole trip. This is the second trip at zermatt where the ac ******. It's enough that I don't wanna go back there it was so miserable tey8ng to sleep.

Communication solves all issues
I came for an official trip. Considering the nature of the trip, this was prudent to have a good night sleep and comfort to get recharged for the next day. After I made reservation, I made a phone call and requested for a room of my choice . I am so glad that all my requests were understood and considered. The front desk is super helpful and all the members of the team are friendly and knowledgeable.
I am glad that I chose to stay at Zermatt.
