Echo Valley Cottages

Stayed in Hilltop House for one night. It was very clean but also a bit run down (peeling paint, water stains on the ceilings). Main thing to note are safety considerations. There is an outlet in the living room without a cover on it, and the stairs to the second floor do not have a stair rail. These are safety issues for anyone, but particularly those traveling with small children or older adults. I emailed them after the stay and was told they "will be addressed."

This has now become one of our families favorite getaway spots! The staff is extremely nice and welcoming. The house was clean, pool was amazing, we had fun on the paddle boats! There is mini golf, and volley ball. My 7 year old loved it! We will coming back without a doubt!

The location was perfect and definitley was an adorable cottage. We stayed at The Pond and it was nice being on the water and having the duck couple as companions. Window unit air conditioner definitely did its job which was wonderful. However, the cottage had odor of fish and cigarettes. I thought after the air was on for a bit, it would subside but didn't. It states "no smoking inside" unfortunatly not observed. And the queen bed definitly needs replacing. When booking, there was not a place to put 2 dog fee on the reservation. At check in, it was confirmed that we had one dog. I corrected her and stated that no, I have two dogs and they are small. Nothing was said to a change of fee. About 20 min later, the owner came over to "intoduce himself" to my husband and said that he noticed two dogs and we only paid for one. My husband did not check in with me and did not know that I had said I had two dogs to the person I checked in with. The owner said that we needed to pay for two and a processing fee. I had NO problem paying for two dogs and didn't understand why that wasn't done when I had said there were two. He made us feel like we were trying to get away with something. ABSOLUTELY not as we travel with our dogs all the time and have no problem with paying for them. It's way cheaper than a dog sitter is how I look at it. Just wish that there was more communications from front desk to owner.

This place has a good vibes… The sound of the creek makes you want to come here again… Remember that those two ducks are need to be fed… Btw,a lot of improvements has to be made to make this place more welcoming. Otherwise,the place is great!

Sweet rustic cabin with a private deck, grill, and fire pit on the pond. They do charge extra for pups but the price is worth it. Sat out & had lovely fires in the private fire pit looking at the stars & the moon. Had a fully stocked kitchen with Dishes - pots, pans, utensils. They had a toaster - & a toaster oven & most importantly a Fire Extinguisher! We had a charcoal grill & rolling ice chest at our cabin. It had an outside deck for dining by the lake. Plenty to do in the area. Great place to come back to & unwind. Rigby (our Pup) loved the resident ducks at the pond. He also enjoyed sitting out in the enclosed porch in our cabin. Neat and clean. Had a treat of a screech owl one night, nothing you get from living on Long Island. Hosts were friendly. Totally enjoyable. We will be back in the future!

Planned a weekend girls trip to go hiking and didn't want to stay in a hotel. We wanted a spot to have a fire and a few drinks and hang outside. The "Pond" cabin/cottage was very clean, had a full kitchen with pots, pans, plates, glasses and utensils. The couch and chair in the living room were really comfortable and modern. The wifi worked great and the tv had pleanty of channels for my friend who wasn't as into the campfire as i was. We had a little deck off the screened porch to hang out and off to the side was a spot for a fire. I love camping but my old ass isn't sleeping in a tent with a community shower so this place is perfect for me.
