Holiday Inn Ipswich - Orwell

Nice hotel and pleasant staff. The breakfast was good.We we enjoyed it.

Was a lovely experience to stay in Ipswich, staff was lovely at holiday inn and was a lovely atmosphere and environment for me and my children for our weekend away so thank you so much for the lovely experience 😊

Mmmm, expected better, breakfast expensive £16.95 , for not great tasting fare I've had better for less in a holiday inn express. Menu needs to be updated too , more simple fate at better prices would be better. Holiday inn express would be better title here. Staff ok

I would give the staff 5 stars! They were lovely and very helpful. We had a nice refurbished room which was really comfortable. Revamped bathroom, good water pressure, good sized towels, nice bed linen and very comfy bed, Sadly the evening meals were a let down. There is far too much emphasis on Asian food, far too little attention to detail and items , both at breakfast and dinner ,were over cooked. Portion control was also rather random! What was on the menu did not always match what was served. This was a shame as this hotel has so much on offer. Pleasant bar and lots of sitting areas - it is a little scuffed around the corners but it is comfortable. There is a small gym upstairs . The car park is large, but unfortunately a chunk of it is being given up for electric charging and in the day time spaces are rented out to local businesses so between 9-5 vacant slots can be hard to find. It is is very near to junction 57 of the A14 - so if you dislike traffic noise ground floor rooms are quieter. We would certainly stay there again but until the food improves probably eat out in the evenings!

Stayed at this hotel twice over a year. Rooms are very clean. Bed is comfortable and the added choice of two pillows (soft and firm) is an added bonus. You get an iron, an ironing board and a hairdryer which is fantastic. A small fridge would be a plus to store drinks and snacks. You get shower gel and shampoo which smell lovely. Bathroom is nice and bright. Once you figure out how to set the shower temperature it's great. Towels are always immaculately white. Reception staff has always been friendly. Hotel is fairly quiet, we never had any issues with noise. We have never used the bar or restaurant though so we cannot comment on this. Would happily return and recommend.

Fabulous front office assistance who kindly on the day of walking in found us a great room - evening meal was excellent value £22 for 3 courses and the fridge with cold drinks complimentary in reception was very thoughtful in the warm weather, 2nd stay this year and cannot fault the hotel at all, rooms are modern and comfortable and the bathroom has all the facilities required
