Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All Inclusive Resort

It was my first time in DR, we decided to go on a girls vacation with my friend. The stay exceeded our expectations. We were a bit scared as the reviews were not nice and the hotel just opened so people were complaining about construction works still taking place. We haven’t experienced it ourselves - the only valid flaw that was pretty annoying is lack of soundproofing. You could hear people breathing in the next room - pretty creepy to say the least. One more thing that could be better is the bartenders as some of them were pretty rude sometimes and passive aggressive pretending like they don’t see you and serving people that just came instead of the ones who have been waiting for 15 minutes already. Other than that - it was a pure joy in paradise. The beach and the ocean look absolutely stunning, you can take a nice walk along the wild part of the beach. A lot of food options, a la carte restaurants are pretty nice. They have very nice coffee which was a surprise for me as a coffee lover. Rooms were always cleaned nicely and neatly. The whole staff was always nice, kind and helpful. Not a lot of people speak English and we speak zero Spanish however it wasn’t a big problem for us - somehow we managed to explain ourselves and understand what we’ve been told (unlike the majority of people complaining about staff not speaking English. The staff might not but they always did their best to find the way to understand you and do everything to help). For additional pay there was a variety of excursions options. All well organized and taken care of, the guides are real professionals and nice people to talk to. Entertainment was also on top, from the very morning till the night there was a variety of activities you can take part in. And last but definitely not least - Animation Team ❤️ People with one of a kind energy and vibe, putting a lot effort to keep the guests in their best moods. You can tell these people love what they do. Ester is the sweetest, kindest and most talented person ever! Erick, Elvin, Jose, Emanuel, Chocolate, Rex, Caramelo and literally everyone who works for entertainment gave the best from themselves every day and made this stay truly the best!

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the outstanding service on the beach at Viva Miches by Wyndham, particularly regarding the kayaks, catamarans, and all the water sports equipment. I am very satisfied with the quality of the service and the equipment, which was excellently maintained and ready for use. A special thanks goes to Daniel, who was always eager to share his knowledge and experience, offering valuable advice on how to use the equipment. His instructions were clear and helpful, making us feel confident during every activity. I would also like to thank all the staff on the beach, who were incredibly friendly, polite, and passionate about their work. Everyone demonstrated great professionalism, and their smiles and willingness to help made our time on the beach truly enjoyable. The atmosphere was wonderful – full of positive energy and kindness. Thanks to such professionals, our vacation at Viva Miches by Wyndham in March 2025 was even better!!! We sincerely thank you for the unforgettable moments on the water and on the beach. I will quote my 10 yr old - “the best part of our vacation were the employees, they were soooo nice!” We did a mother daughter trip and had an absolute terrific time. This was our 6th time to the DR and first time in Miches. I will not be doing the ***** of Punta Cana again. Miches was terrific as was the resort. It’s a smallish resort, authentic, lovely beach with a long ***** to walk and extremely safe. It caters to an older crowd/ families, a lot of Europeans. This is not the place to go for loud spring break partying. The positives, rooms are very clean, food was, again, authentic, good, beach and activities terrific. Wonderful staff all around. Things to work on: their cafe Miches only opens from 9-6. They should consider opening earlier and closing earlier. For the early birds, they may want to grab a coffee before 9am. They should place more umbrellas around the pool and beach. Given resort is new, vegetation is still growing and shade is an issue. Lastly, perhaps some activities for younger kids ie: the entertainment does a great job keeping everyone going with activities, perhaps something for the kids could the considered. In closing, we’re blessed to travel 1-2 times a year and have been to Costa Rica, Antigua, curaçao, Aruba, etc., and for us, wanting quiet, clean, safe, enjoyable.. one of the best places we’ve been to.

My daughter and I had a fabulous vacation and absolutely loved the beautiful new property , endless /private beach ,warm /calm ocean , top notch bar and restaurant service and fun , hardworking viva team . We too were impacted on day 3 with the very large Italian group arriving, as it certainly was daunting and changed the quiet , chilled atmosphere on the resort, but we made a decision to make the best of it . The water sports team were the highlight for us and made our beach days so much fun. Also enjoyed having the option to stay close to the beach for lunch and the food was terrific (Loved the nachos )! Much to our surprise we went to the evening shows and enjoyed them a lot , especially with getting to know some of the animation team and them being in the shows . Might be nice to have the eve shows start a bit earlier though . Because we had such such a great week I’m returning next month with my husband and can’t wait !!

Nice clean and spacious rooms with efficient air conditioning and comfortable beds. After a pleasant first day the arrival of a group of some 300 Italian guests on what appeared to be a workers and family holiday, completely changed the atmosphere. Areas of the beach and buffet restaurant were cordoned off to the detriment of other guests and most reservations at the speciality restaurants seemed to be blocked off for their use.However, we found all staff friendly and approachable, food pretty good in buffet restaurant with good choices but could be hotter, Great beach and pool but more shaded areas would have been appreciated. Would rate this hotel at 3.5 stars. Would we visit again - undecided.

Visited for 2 weeks. Pros: Fantastic beach. Great location. Lots of lounges on beach. Amazing pool. Good food at the buffet for all meals. Staff at the buffet and at al la cartes are amazing. Great bars at the beach. Ice water is available at many locations. Cons: Maid staff can be unfriendly and uncooperative. Large groups from Italy get preferential treatment (special areas roped off at the Buffet, at the beach, and using up all the a la carte openings). Splash pools can be cold so they are not that comfortable. Many “ocean view” rooms have a very limited ocean view. The halls are designed to echo which creates annoying noise, doors slamming. The staff at the main bar ignore you even if you are the only one standing there. You have to book your a La carte reservations online at midnight to guarantee a spot three days later. This resort has great potential but do not book it if there is a large group from Italy, otherwise you will be treated as a second-class citizen.
