And I am another one that got cancelled. I booked a room back in April 2024 for mid March 2025 and I got the cancellation email a week ago and the general message to please book again after June 30. So my big issue, regardless of the money spent on airfare out the window (hopefully I’ll at least get travel credits from AA) and the fact my family’s Spring Break trip is ruined, is that I used points to book the room for a week. And I got my points back shortly after the cancellation e-mail. But no matter when I try to rebook this resort (I tried a bunch of random dates), the points redemption is now 5X per night what it was when I originally booked it. Which is utterly ridiculous and so I can’t even do it with the points I have. The VERY LEAST a company like Hilton should do in this situation is allow you to rebook at a later date at the same cost (or points redemption) you used when you booked it to begin with. Like I can’t imagine any company anywhere cancelling your purchase or your reservation because of “unforeseen circumstances” and then try to charge you 5X the amount of your original order/booking to order/book it again. And trying to resolve the issue with customer service (or sorry, “Guest Assistance Specialists”) via phone or email is ridiculous - you may as well not be talking to a real human. I think I’d just rather be talking to AI, so that the canned responses would at least be a little more palatable knowing they came from a non-human being. Extremely disappointed by Hilton from a VERY LOYAL Diamond Hilton guy.

We booked 3 rooms last summer for April 2025 along with 10 nonrefundable airfares. We were aware the hotel was under construction but the hotel communicated a November 2024 opening, giving us 6 months margin of safety for any delays. When I noticed recently the hotel was no longer accepting new reservations for our dates I called and emailed the hotel several times to confirm our reservation. I received no answer. I then learned on here that the hotel isn’t opening until June. There’s been no apology, no attempt to relocate our stay at another Hilton property (I am a Hilton Diamond member) and zero offer of compensation for the $10,000 in nonrefundable airfare. Construction delays happen. What is inexcusable is when a top of the line hotel does absolutely nothing to care for guests who’ve been massively impacted for doing nothing other than putting their money and vacation time in what they thought were good hands.

This place is an absolute SCAM. Zemi Miches cancelled our reservation with ZERO notice, weeks before our scheduled arrival, citing that they're not even opening until June 20, 2025! To add insult to injury, they then had the audacity to CHARGE us for a night we couldn't possibly have stayed, claiming it was a "late cancellation" on our part! What kind of twisted logic is that? Their canned email response about a "corporate policy" that can't be overridden is a pathetic excuse for ripping off unsuspecting customers. We're not just talking about a minor inconvenience here; we've lost our airfare and the cost of this phantom hotel stay. Zemi Miches, you're not just unprofessional, you're downright dishonest. Stay far, far away from this place. This isn't a hotel; it's a highway robbery in progress. RUN. JUST RUN.

As the other reviews have stated, I received an email about cancelling my reservation in Dec 2024 for my booking in Mar 2025. I booked this in May 2024. Now all the other resorts are completely booked or extremely expensive. Hilton Diamond desk has been no help at all. Time to move my business to Marriott or Hyatt.
