Nice hotel, tasty breakfast and an exceptional Front desk especially Shaddai who was wonderful. The hotel was as described, very clean, super comfortable beds and nice facilities. Great value for money for 1 night.

Mikosuki, standing on the eastern foot of the Everglades National Park in isolation, originally thought it would be a casino hotel, but the actual situation was worse than expected. The hotel is estimated to take care of the license given by the indigenous Indians of Mikosuki, but the operation is very general, only slot machines have no table, and smoking is allowed, so the integration lobby is all smoke. The room itself was nice and comfortable. In the past, some people said that it was not bad to go to the buffet dinner, but now it is obviously declining. Yelp keeps commenting on the buffet, and dare not try it. The breakfast was not self-service, but was ordered. It seems that there are so many customers but there are two or three kittens for breakfast (or breakfast). There is an in-house restaurant inside the casino, it seems that the price is still very affordable. In short, the hotel's value for money is OK, the casino is not worth nostalgia, live by the way, it is not worth the trip.

I’ve stayed at this property numerous times over the last couple years and never had an issue until this stay. To start with I was charged a $40 fee on 2 separate credit cards for incidentals ($80 total). My first morning after arrival I discovered ants in my bathroom and kitchenette. I notified the front desk about the double charge on my card and about the ants in my room. They assured me the ants would be taken care of and that my one card would be credited back the $40 in 24 hours. (It’s been almost 72 hours now). Upon returning that night to my room I noticed there were still some ants. I assumed they had treated and that all would be fine by the morning. When I woke up Sunday morning I found ants all over my belongings in the bathroom on the counter and in the kitchenette all throughout the sink. I was departing that day so I packed my things, went downstairs, notified the young lady about the ants again and she didn’t seem overly concerned but acknowledged me as she did the day before. I got home a few states away and when unpacking my belongings low and behold I have ants in my stuff. (As a side note I don’t have any food items packed with my belongings.) I then began looking through my credit card statement and found another pending charge for $10 on top of the 2 separate $40 pending charges on my 2 separate cards. I contacted the hotel and they assured me again this would be removed within 24 hours. I also let the lady who I spoke with know that I was very displeased with the ants in my room and the fact that I brought ants home. Her response to me was “you should have reported it when you were here and we could have moved your room”. At this point I told her that I did report it twice and was told the room would be “sprayed”. The lady on the phone then said “oh I so sorry the girl who was working on Saturday is new and still training and maybe she did not know that we cannot spray the room when you are there because you could maybe have an allergy to the spray or something and that you should have been moved to another room.” She said she would have the manager contact me Monday morning. It is Monday afternoon as I write this review and the manager has yet to call me. I also messaged Marriott regarding the issue and they also have not gotten back to me. It’s a shame because this is a really nice property and I would stay again if they would have the decency to make it right for my last trip. I have attached some photos of the ants but these were taken after I cleaned off the counters so I could get ready to leave the room

Everything and everyone were very accommodating. I don't have any complaints, definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast could be a little better by changing the frozen omelets but they still offer different options.

Choice properties are kinda hit or miss. This one is a home run. Nicely located, reasonable high season rates, large rooms, competent front desk and good housekeeping. This is an older property but very well maintained. The franchisee knows how to run a hotel. About 15 minutes from Miami International Airport. There is a Publix supermarket and a vibrant shopping ***** with a couple of sit down restaurants right next store. Ample parking. I'm checking out now but thought I'd leave a review because I was impressed.
Candlewood Suites Miami Exec Airport - Kendall

I was in Miami with my dog to fly him to Belize. We spent the first two nights at the Candlewood next to the airport which was a fine hotel. My dog’s Amerijet flight was delayed two days so I needed to extend and so I needed to find another dog friendly hotel—the Candlewood in Kendall was available and was $65 per night less expensive than the one next to the airport. Contrary to other review I read, this place was wonderful: clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was huge and everything worked great. No complaints. It is a 30 minute drive to the airport which I did not mind. I highly recommend this hotel!
