We decided to stay with the Radisson Resort Miami Beach primarily for its location close to the beach. The property is badly in need of refurbishment as it is looking tired and unloved with even basic cleanliness being left wanting. The staff all seem to be uninterested with their guests, (with the exception of the swimming pool attendants who were very friendly). We had an ok check in with the reception staff being quite cold and unwelcoming. The room was just ok but dated and we ended up with ants. This and the noise on the first night prompted us to call reception and request a room change, we were told that the receptionist would call the rooms and ask them to be quite and call us back. We never received the cal back and the noise continued until approximately 3am the started again at 6am. We went to reception to request a room change again and were met once more with apathy and unhelpful staff we were told that the room would be fumigated to clear the ants but this did not happen. We asked to speak to a manager and were informed that the hotel does not have any managers on site during the weekend but that a supervisor would be in at 10am. We left and returned shortly after 10 to be told that the supervisor was still not in and to cal back later. We did and were told that the supervisor was on a call so we requested that they contact us which again never happened. Our overall view is that ths hotel is not suitable to be a Radisson and that the lack of adequate management and leadership in general is severely lacking. My advice is to think hard before booking.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. We had read reviews so knew the hotel staff and service might not be top-notch but the hotel had the location, room option and size, and price point we wanted. Check in was easy, they had a room ready early for us but we were charged an early check-in fee of $30 (a fee for this was something new to me but we agreed since we had been flying all night). The room itself (2 Queen, junior suite, oceanfront balcony) was clean and spacious but the view was less than stellar with trees mostly blocking all view of the ocean and pool. The pool was refreshing with lots of pool chairs available any time of day, drinks and snacks by the pool were handy, direct beachfront location was great and again lots of beach chairs available. The staff, however, is the complete downfall of this hotel. A couple of the front desk staff were mildly friendly and helpful but the others were short and dismissive. I tried speaking to a manager (front desk’s suggestion) about getting a third chair for our balcony since our reservation was for 3 adults. The manager was the rudest and most dismissive person I’ve ever dealt with in traveling. He literally told me nope there’s not a single other balcony chair or any extra chair of any sort available in the entire hotel (although the hotel was far from full) and that we get 2 chairs and that’s it. I asked if maybe there was anyone else who might be able to help and he rudely told me he was the manager and was pretty much there all the time and literally shrugged and flipped his hands at me saying too bad there was no other chair to use. The bell hop was also incredibly rude. We asked to use the luggage cart to bring some flats of water up to the room and he hesitated and seemed like he didn’t want us to but I already had it in my hands (and there were 2 more empty sitting right there) then barked ok but only if we returned it. Obviously we would. Even asking to get a key card activated (twice all 3 of our keys stopped working during our stay) felt like the biggest ask ever by the way the staff sighed and took their sweet time doing so. Upon check out they didn’t provide me a receipt. I’m pretty easy going and have travelled around the world and had read reviews prior to our trip but this hotel seriously needs a revamp of the staff and management. It’s fine enough for a basic stay but don’t expect any help or courtesy or service.

The hotel is at a great location. It’s however very tired. Was half empty. Our tap continuously dripping, roadworks outside and the aircon is humming throughout the hotel at a lulling 35db. If you just want a bed, using earplugs when sleeping and believe $2000+ for a room for a week is just fine then this hotel is great. Breakfast is a set menu thing. Ended up using Uber eats as it gave more variety and was cheaper for a family of 4. Radisson here looks like it has ran out of ambition to be great. Maintenance is of poor standard. The door to the pool has come off its hinges, a hole in the lift call plate for your kids to poke their finger in is complementary. Cleanliness in reception of the soft seating is not great, the staff visibly do not want to be there with their permanent upside down smiles. If Miami wasn’t as great as it was then the hotel would have ruined the holiday. Great transport links. An Uber from the airport to the hotel is around $70. The bus however is $2.25 per person and gets you there quicker. Download the Miami transit app for times. It’s the 150 bus and stops at 42st and the hotel is at 43st. We took the bus on the way back to the airport. To get around Miami Beach you can take the free ‘Trolley’ and Ubers are everywhere. Miami great. Hotel not so good. We did not eat at the hotel once as it looked so bad. A breakfast buffet is the least you want with all the American favourites. Go to Miami - it’s great. Don’t pick this hotel if you want a good hospitality experience.

I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is extremely unfriendly. No one greets you, no one pays attention. What will stick in my memory (in a negative way) is the experience at the bar when I tried to order takeaway food for myself and my family. I asked if I could quickly take the menu up to the room to ask my family what they wanted. The staff member at the bar said no – I should just take a picture with my phone (too bad I didn’t have it with me). Well then, I should go get the phone and come back. Unbelievable. I couldn’t believe it – as if I was trying to steal the menu. The rooms are extremely noisy, the pool was dirty, and even though the sun was blazing, there were only about five umbrellas available. When I asked if there were more umbrellas, I was bluntly told to go to the beach – there are more umbrellas available there. Sorry, but I expected something very different from a 4-star hotel under the Radisson brand. Well, it’s an experience I won’t forget – and definitely not one that would make me want to book again. What did work smoothly though was charging $240 to my credit card at check-in – not as a hold, but directly billed. Dear hotel manager, take a close look at your hotel and especially your staff – there is serious room for improvement. Small ray of light: the woman at the pool bar. The sunshine of this hotel – friendly, courteous, with true service in her DNA. Thank you for that.

We have had a great experience on our trip! Upon check-in, we were helped by Christian. He was very welcoming and friendly, and set the tone for our vacation to start off excellent! The hotel is also very clean, and leads to a nice beach! Great!

My stay at this hotel was disappointing. The first room provided was dirty, and the windows were not cleaned. When I raised the issue, I was informed it was because the dirt was on the outside, which I found unsatisfactory as windows should still be properly maintained. The staff helped us switch to an ocean-view room, but unfortunately, it was not much better. The bathroom was particularly concerning, as I found several hairs despite specifically requesting the housekeeping team to ensure thorough cleanliness. Additionally, the hotel’s overall cleanliness and maintenance standards seemed lacking. The lobby had an unpleasant odor, and the elevators were outdated and uncomfortably small. For the price paid, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Customer service is terrible. The receptionist is so tripping. Breakfast wasn’t on time. The phone and WiFi didn’t work in the room, only outside. I have to ask a simple things many times to receive answer…

Went on a whim with a friend. Location was ok. It definitely was on the beach and you can use the umbrellas and a chair for each person (max 2 chairs). The front desk crew was ok, they didn't really care about us. There was one girl who had excellent customer service. The other great employee was the concierge named Jaime. He was wonderful. Calvin who is a server at the restaurant was excellent and under pressure showed the best customer service. If my place of employment was hiring I would encourage him to apply. There was no communication amongst staff. For example, the guy at the beach who monitors the beach just shut the umbrella chair service down whenever he wanted. He didn't tell us why. When I complained to front desk, they had no idea and said that maybe because it was raining. He could have told us that while we were asking. He let a family sit down and then went over and took their umbrella. They also have a gift shop in the lobby, which was ALWAYS closed. The pool is great and the water was warm.

We had an amazing weekend here. Rosie was the most attentive, kind, knowledgeable bartender ever. Maggie was able to answer every question we had. Amazing location, walk out of the hotel and you’re treated to a beautiful pool and the beach.
