Open 9 months, this hotel offers clean pleasant fully equipped rooms and free transfer to or from the main airport which is only a few minutes away. The site is small but interesting with a little fun swimming pool and view on a wooded valley. The 'Snack Bar' kitchen is open, visible and clean; there is space to eat outside, with a large dining, bar, and small event area inside. The service and food was excellent, if slightly erratic, though it depends very much at present on their chef and master of all trades who is helping set up the service there. There are no vegetables on the menu except salad (to avoid in Cameroon), but excellent vegetables were produced on request. I recommend the sausages! I would give this hotel and exceptional 5 stars but for the following: mosquito prevention is not up to my standard; there are no mosquito nets on the beds nor on the windows, which don't seal very well and which you need to open for air. One of our rooms seemed to have a slight presence of mosquitoes. The other none; our mattresses were very firm indeed, too firm for most, but not soggy; the plot is small / restricted; the lead member of staff will be hard to replace! More super features: the toucans which were convinced there were rivals inside the shiny windows and showed themselves up close. Lots of birds in the trees below. Lovely attentive staff all round. All sorts of sounds of people and nature from the area around - not quiet, but not noisy for Africa! The water comes from the hotel well and seems good. The pool is chlorinated and well maintained.
