I didn’t actually stay at this property due to the fact that it misleadingly stated that it was 1.8 miles from the city center of Belluno when it was in fact almost two hours away! The issue started when a group of us hiking the Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites decided to end our hiking a day earlier than planned due to major thunderstorms on the trail. We hiked out to the town of Agordo and then caught a bus to Belluno. Finding available accommodations in Belluno on such notice was very difficult due to a lack of availability. While researching, I found what I thought was a suitable property at Antico Fienile based on their stated proximity to Belluno. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until after I booked a room there that I discovered the truth about their location. I tried reasoning with the owners about my situation but, they refused my request and kept my reservation deposit. I wasn’t the only hiker that day who fell pray to this property’s unconscionable deceit and lack of empathy for stranded visitors. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this property to anyone visiting the Belluno area!
