Terrible place with unpleasant smell. Couldn't stay there. Charged me and wouldn't refund my money. Told I could amend booking for an extra cost. Polite staff but took my money with a smile and pretended they couldn't do anything to refund my money.

It's terrible, terrible. The only good thing about this establishment is the location. It is really very dirty, there is no wifi, no hairdryer, the safe is decorative, there are cables hanging on the balcony, not even a simple shelf in the bathroom for the toothbrush, sheets with balls and the toilets blackened with dirt, it is very uncomfortable. The worst hotel I have ever been to. Our thanks, yes, to Mr. Luis from maintenance who solved a problem for us and to Miss Blanca from reception.

Hostel Amigo Suites is conveniently located near the zocalo/central plaza and the bus stop. Many plazas, places of interest, and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. We checked in late at night c/o receptionist Roberto who was very helpful with our request for a late check-out. Frontdesk is open 24 hours. Paulina helped us with our check-out and luggage storage. The receptionists were fluent in speaking English. The room itself and the beddings are comfortable. There are several surfaces to put things on, although it's not the same for points to hang clothes on. Wifi connection is fast. One opportunity area is the strong smell of paint and/or varnish all the way from the reception area and even in the room. It is inconvenient especially for someone like me who has asthma. We had to open our door all the time, to minimize the strong smell.
