I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel in Mexico City during June 2024, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is in a class by itself in the charming neighborhood of Roma Norte, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The combination of personal service, chic design, and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. The hotel, which was once a turn-of-the-century home, has been beautifully transformed by the wonderful Guy into a sophisticated boutique retreat. With its elegant mix of classic tiles, rich hardwood floors, and vibrant local artwork, the atmosphere is both cozy and refined. The spacious rooms and generous bathrooms add to the sense of luxury. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the outstanding service and attention to detail that Guy and Guillermo provide. Their dedication to ensuring every guest's comfort is remarkable. For instance, I’m vegan, and while my friends are not, finding suitable breakfast options at hotels can sometimes be a challenge. I was thrilled when Guillermo assured me that my dietary preferences would be accommodated— and he wasn’t kidding! The vegan chilaquiles I had at breakfast were not only delicious, but the best I’ve ever tasted. I live on the Mexican border, so I have eaten a lot of vegan chilaquiles but these chilaquiles extraordinary. So yummy. Each morning, we were also treated to a colorful array of fresh fruit, including the most heavenly Mangos De Manila, which were unlike any mango I had ever tasted. I can't find them where I live but I will always have the memory of the sweet, perfect mangoes Maison Du Compte went out of their way to include on the fruit tray. Sublime. Beyond the food, Guy and Guillermo’s warm and attentive approach made us feel like we were staying with friends. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the week, even providing oxygen to a friend who had trouble adjusting to the high altitude—before we even had to ask! Their knowledge of the city and Mexican history was an added bonus. Each day, Guillermo shared fascinating insights about the places we visited, adding a personal touch that made our experiences even more meaningful. Guillermo's love of his country was beautiful to observe and his knowledge of Mexico City is profound and spot-on! And let’s not forget the hotel’s adorable dogs, Caramelo and Maggie! These two delightful pups brought so much joy and affection to our stay. They were always ready to greet us with wagging tails and a playful spirit, adding an extra layer of warmth to the already welcoming environment. If they were not around, we made sure to ask after them because receiving the love of the dogs, warmed our hearts. In short, this hotel is a true gem. From the charming hosts to the stylish ambiance, to the delicious breakfast options (including vegan delights!), it’s clear that every detail is designed with the guest’s well-being in mind. If y

This renovated grand mansion-turned B&B was a delight to stay in. The location of the building is close to all the best restaurants and entertainment Roma Norte has to offer, and in a safe neighborhood. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and the shared spaces are filled with artwork, elegant furnishings and flowers. There is also a spectacular roof deck with shade and plush furniture, should you wish to enjoy a drink with a view in the afternoon. Each morning, Chef Elena would prepare delicoius made-to-order breakfasts with fresh fruits, warm croissants, coffee (or cappuccino and espresso), yoghurt with granola, eggs any style (even chilaquiles!). Once, we had to leave at 7am to head out to Teotihuacan and she woke up early to make sure we had something to eat. We ate around a large dining room table with the other guests, which was wonderful for conversation and sharing of our experiences. The absolute best thing about the hotel (and maybe the trip) though, were our hosts, Guy (the owner), and Guillermo (the manager). They are both well traveled and worldly (Guillermo speaks seven languages fluently). Even before we arrived, Guillermo was checking in on us and sent lots of pdfs on his recommendations on where to visit and dine. He met us at the front and carried our bags in. Guy joined us each day and shared his experience with renovating the property - it really was a labor of love. There are even two furry hosts - Caramello and Molly, who made sure to greet us each time we returned to the hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone coming to Mexico City.

An absolute gem! My husband and I spent a long weekend in Mexico City for the first time. Guillermo was most accommodating, sharing his wonderful knowledge of the City & sights. We stayed in a second floor front room, with a huge dressing closet and a most comfortable bed. The rooftop area was a great place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was beyond delicious! We highly recommend !

This small hotel built in the French style in a quiet street of Roma Norte is a perfect base from which to experience Mexico City. Previously the owner Guy’s residence it has only recently been run as a hotel. Our suite at the rear on the first floor was large and comfortable with a walk in dressing room. Breakfast was generous and crowned by the best croissant outside Paris. But best of all was the warmth and helpfulness of Guy and his manager Guillermo. Nothing was too much trouble for Guillermo and his knowledge and love of the city was detailed and his recommendations were tailored to his guests’ interests. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience for my wife and I. The charm of this 115 year old mansion in the trendy neighborhood of Roma Norte is evident as soon as you enter the gate. Guy, the owner of the four-bedroom boutique hotel was amazingly solicitous, and his concierge Guillermo, extremely helpful when my wife came down ill with a bug she caught the night before we arrived. A great breakfast, as well. We can’t recommend Le Maison more highly.

OMG! Great location, excellent spacious rooms, tasty breakfast made-to-order, helpful staff. Can’t recommend it highly enough, really. Guillermo is the best, and Guy is a gracious host. Walkable to great restaurants, and all that Roma has to offer. I would go back in a heartbeat!

This charming place only has four rooms; we stayed in the gorgeous downstairs suite. It is very quiet and comfortable despite being just off the lobby. With so few people staying there noise is really not an issue. Being on a one way street really makes it quiet too. The manager Guillermo went out of his way to be kind and helpful; he gave us all sorts of advice not only about CDMX but also further destinations we were heading to. He is an educated and professional human being and he made the stay very special. The location is 5-10 minutes to the lovely Condessa parks and also to all the nice streets and restaurants in Roma Norte. The historic centre is a cheap Uber ride away and we also walked there and back and felt safe and secure, about 45 mins by foot. After a long day in Mexico City, the Maison du Comte is a real haven of quiet. The roof top area is lovely although we didn’t use it. Breakfasts were solid with delicious croissants and eggs/fruit. Trust us, staying in a huge city like Mexico City, the Maison was like coming home. Unlike an Air BnB , there is someone there to talk to and get advice from . Well worth the cost.
