Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes

The front desk staff continuously lied about my room type and stay and were gaslighting me about the reservation I had made. I have always stayed at Hyatt's and understand policy and procedures. Since I knew the rules, they were surprised and tried to backtrack on what they had originally presented to me. I had to argue with the front desk for more than an hour to get into an appropriate room I was confirmed for. I read online that this is not the first time a situation like this has occurred at this hotel. I hope corporate reviews this hotels staff ethics and policies. When I called the front desk for bath towels, I would get bath robes every time. This happened for 4 nights straight. The bell hop staff was great. They were friendly and acted like concierge with recommendations and ideas. Staff in the club lounge were really nice and took care of their guests really well. The food options were limited but not too bad. The views from the club lounge were fantastic. The entrance to the hotel is weird. There is no place to get your car or taxi to the entrance. You will stop at the side of the road and either have to walk around to the residential building entrance or up a few stairs next to the Japanese restaurant. If you have a lot of luggage, this may not work out too well. There is no one available to help you with your luggage either until you take the elevator up to the check-in area. The location is a bit far away from the main attractions. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get anywhere worth checking out (and this is if there is no traffic). The staff ruined my stay but I am thankful to have visited the awesome CDMX.

Very nice and tidy experience across the street from metro bus that will take you up and down Insurgentes for 6 pesos. What a deal. There is never a wait for the metro bus. There is always one there to whisk you north or south. The hotel itself is clean and modern. No complaints with staff or rooms. Perfectly comfortable stay in CDMX. The walk to Condesa and Roma is very manageable if you like to walk. We even walked to Coyocan, but that was much farther. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel and staff! After a particularly dicey first couple of days, involving a hospital stay for my husband, we had an amazing time. The staff were so incredibly attentive, kind and helpful to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The facilities are great. Rooms well appointed, restaurant great and the fitness centre was world class. Totally recommend when visiting Mexico City!

Great new hotel! Great quiet location. Great option in the middle of CDMX Right in front of public transportation. The area is quiet with some restaurants nearby however it is not for the night life scene. The hotel has a great lounge and better food options than other hotels
