Called in for a drink and something to eat. First thing we noticed was the smell of dogs, it was quite overwhelming. The floor seemed sticky and we cleaned our own table with wet wipes I had in my bag. We found a table at the back of the pub where the smell wasn't too overpowering. Ordered food and drinks. Bar staff were not particularly friendly. At this point we should have left but we were tired and hungry travellers. Food arrived and was mediocre at best. We used the loo before we went & they were a bit grotty. It's sad that such a lovely looking pub is so horrible inside . We left and found the Harbour Tavern , what a contrast! When we walked home we passed the Ship to find the staff smoking outside, moaning about the customers. They could have been more discreet about it! We wouldn't recommend or will going back.

A fantastic pub/restaurant with lovely rooms, it’s great to eat and drink whatever you want, and just stroll up to your bedroom, right in the centre of the town, great shops to visit, all amenities, and a two minute stroll to the harbour, what’s more to like. This was our fourth visit. 😊😎

Booked a table for 6 + a pushchair for a birthday celebration. When we arrived we had a corner to ourselves that had been very kindly decorated with balloons and banners, the staff were all super friendly and helpful! The food arrived promptly and was lovely. A brilliant experience all round 😊

An absolutely must visit little pub on a bustling high street. An array of fresh and crisp ciders await you, perfect on a warm summers day. The pub is fresh and open , with a cool and inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately I didn’t eat, however given the opportunity I would have. Lovely and friendly staff

Lovely traditional pub very friendly staff , with excellent food and very good value for money, generous portions and draught Guinness, we stayed in Mevagissey for 1 week and was by far the best eating establishment there. I would recommend a visit and the scallops and mussels are second to none.
