Hotel San Mauro

Only stayed overnight at this hotel as had a late flight. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.

We just returned home from Italy and we had a fabulous time! Hotel San Mauro is a beautiful hotel in a quiet neighbourhood where you could visit a small bakery, pizza store, restaurant, along with a supermarket, where you could buy alcohol, and any other snacks/drinks for a reasonable price. All within a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel has a great buffet breakfast for the entire family every morning from 7-10 am. It also has a nice swimming pool that was wonderful to go into after our day trips in the hot sun. We only wished that it didn't close at 6 pm. The hotel was about 30 minutes away from down town Naples by bus. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the local Volla bus station any time we needed it. The drivers were wonderful! From Volla station our family did various day trips, such as to Naples, Capri, Sorrento, and Pompeii. Sorrento and Pompeii required a train as well. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. The taxi to and from the airport was 45 Euros, which was a bit on the expensive side, given that the airport was only 10 minutes away. Overall, we had an amazing experience visiting Italy, while using the hotel as our home base! Thank you to everyone at the hotel 😊

My wife and I went from the 4th of November to the 14th of November 2022 On the first day that we arrived we looked at the leisure facilities which we thought were part of the hotel but they are not and that we had to pay to use these facilities where on the brochure it is showing as complementary and did not have anything written to say that you have to pay. The room itself had plaster coming off the walls and the ceiling and when we complained to the hotel about being cold this is what they said 'that this room is the only heated room in the hotel.' There was black mould around the shower and to think we had spent about £1200 to £1500 for this accommodation half board for 10 nights at this hotel we were unable to use the complementary outdoor swimming pool which had algae all around it and was not fit for purpose when I pointed this out to the front desk about the algae in the swimming pool they simply shrugged their shoulders and pretended not to understand my English. This has to be the worst rated 4-star hotel that I have ever been to the agent loveholidays are the worst agent and to date have claimed no responsibility and have firmly stated that a complementary refund of £50 is all that I would get when I complained about this refund they withdrew the £50 and have not called me back. The hotel compensated me with £128 because of misrepresentation and misleading information about the facilities as being not part of the the hotel. I have photos and email going back and forth with the rep. It is is it is disgusting that in this day and age you can still get ripped off by fullstar hotels who claim to have an outstanding facility for them all I will never use love holidays to travel will I use this hotel.

A EVITER ET FUIR PAR LES FRANCAIS Avis à la suite d’une semaine du 15 au 22 juillet 2023avec de fortes températures de chaleur. Hôtel recevant principalement des groupes en sortie de rocade en périphérie de NAPLES. POUR : Fonctionnel, très propre, personnel en étages(nettoyage) et en restaurant (service) attentifs et souriants, faisant de leur mieux et cela se ressent. Restaurant correct sauf pour l’accompagnement du « chef » (en général Salade en sachet !!) CONTRE : Instructions pour les clients uniquement en… Anglais et Italien, alors que cet hôtel travail avec des operateurs de circuits français, Deuxième ascenseur en panne toute la semaine, personnel de réception peut accueillant et ne parlant pas français. Veilleur de nuit limite homophone car besoin de justifier et expliquer pourquoi 2 hommes ont réservé une chambre double. Nécessité, à 01 heure du matin de réveiller le guide pour confirmation. PISCINE ouverte unique de 09 à 18 heures, lorsque les groupes sont en excursions. Technicien de maintenance et piscine, désagréable, et méprisant avec des propos autoritaires et limite insultants pour les clients. Jour 2- dimanche jusqu'à 00h30, fêteanniversaire avec orchestre de la belle-sœur du propriétaire jusqu'à 01 heure du matin, Jour 4-mercredi, jusqu'à 23h30, , groupe de jeunes bruyants dans les couloirs et autour et dans la piscine ( sans bonnets de bain,) Autorisation exceptionnelle après négociations de notre guide, pour obtenir un créneau piscine jusqu'à 19h les lundi, mercredi et vendredi, avec une exigence par le technicien piscine, le dernier jour de mettre un bonnet de bain pour y accéder en vente à la réception pour 3 euros. Raison invoquée … Hygiène. Déplacement obligatoire, vu le conflit et l’arrogance de cet homme de faire intervenir le directeur qui n’est informé de rien !!!! Pour ce qui est de l’hygiène et la sécurité de la piscine, tous les angles du bassin sont déformés, coupants, blessant et d’une hygiène douteuse en effet. Parlons donc hygiène…. Chambre avec lavabo décollé et porte de douche avec roulettes du bas hors des rails. Joints de douche douteux. Et.. Gros cafards traversant la salle petit-déjeuner le 1er jour et cafard en extérieur à l’entrée le 4ème jour. Pour finir en beauté, lors du check out, demande de règlement d’un apéritif, SPRITZ soi-disant pris au bar du hall, en réalité non consommé, car aucun passage au bar de l'hotel
