Gateway Inn

My stay was for Sept 27th. I received and email saying my credit card declined. I called them a day and a half later and the rude agent working (09/08 5:50pm) told me my card declined so the reservation was cancelled. this was not advance purchase so it was troublesome. I was told you should give a good card and this is your problem not mine. then hung up on me.

Are u kidding!! It was like staying in a motel in Georgia in the 60's!! Couldn't even shower, towels were rags. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. Place is a dump, just tear it down. It's infuriating that this is acceptable to even rent . I don't want to go on because thinking about it upsets me more.

THIS IS 2-STAR HOTEL. IT IS OK FOR A 2 STAR. We selected this hotel for a 2 night stay. The good: The room was clean and spacious, the bed (king) was comfortable, bathroom clean and functional. The bad: there is little sound insulation. People closing their doors in the hallway is LOUD. We were awakened several times to closing doors! Other Info: The TV is in an awkward position-not in front of the bed. Typical entry to and exit from the hotel is via the 2 emergency doors on the ground floor. The main entrance is typically locked.

If you are looking at this place to save a couple dollars, spend the extra money! First the positive. The room is not dirty. That's it. That's the end of the list of good things about this place. First, they call themselves a hotel and they are a motel. Second, to check in, they don't even let you in the lobby. I traveled with four people; two adults and two children. I got a room with two double beds that they advertise as able to sleep four. When we got to our room, although it says it's a non-smoking room, it smelled like an ash tray. There was someone's used washcloth hanging over the shower and only two sets of towels in the bathroom. When I went to the front desk to ask for two more sets, they refused! I have never heard of such a thing! They actually refused to give me two more sets of towels! On top of that, the shower floor was dirty! I am grateful that I only subjected my family to one night at this place. I'll never come back and you should never come.

The rooms should’ve been renovated 20 years ago they are disgusting , dirty I didn’t even want to stay but I had no choice I was stuck I wouldn’t stay there for free there was mold in the bathroom I didn’t want to touch anything it wasn’t even cleaned properly the walls were dirty and stained
