The hotel is nice and well kept! There are two highlights. 1) staff is really friendly and helpful, a call out to Pablo, the concierge, as his service, support and friendliness were extremely good and helped us a lot to have a great stay! 2) location, real state is about location…well this hotel cannot ask for more, it is 5min walking distance from all action in downtown!! Definitely I recommend this hotel!!!

I do not know what planet all these positive reviews come from but they are total baloney! We were in this hotel four years ago and it was great. We suggested it to everyone we knew. Since the pandemic it has had to reduce much. I totally understand that and my wife and I tried to give lots of understanding. Although some things are a tad primitive (i.e. the safe in the room is a bolt and key you have to get from the front desk for a 500 pesos deposit returned when the lock and key are returned,. Hey! Not a problem. First the good: a lovely pool, bed comfortable, centrally located, very friendly staff, clean. Negative: the toilets do not flush well...in fact very poorly, they do not tell you that the breakfast you pay for is no longer in the hotel as it once was but rather a 2x4 little place a block down the road outside the hotel and nowhere near the level of cuisine as before. I understand. Covid took it away. If the hotel would tell you that when you book we would have booked elsewhere. My physical infirmities make walking anywhere very difficult. Our first room on the second day flooded due to a heavy rainstorm and ill fitting windows through which the rain came . They kindly put us in another room where the TV did not work. After three days of trying to hear CNN through screen full of snow we were finally informed that we had to change rooms. Having already gone through the hassle of one room change we said forget it. The service is awful. Two people at the front desk speak a little bit of English but near impossible to communicate much with them. The hotel has no phones. You communicate with the front desk via the mobile phone app, Whatsapp. Twice I had to phone for more towels and after 40 minutes without a reply I finally trudged down to the front desk to discover neither of the attendants had even turned their mobile phone on to receive my Whatsapp message. Service is greatly lacking. The restroom in the lobby smells strongly like stale urine. It reeks something awful. The renovated bathrooms (a few are) are reduced to one tiny shelf...nowhere to put your toiletry kit or shaving , etc. I guess to get this published I have to give it a star.
