This past weekend, August 23-24, 2024, we had a perfect stay at Hotel Boutique Rosas y Xocolate. The attention, the vibe and the charm of the place made us feel very special and eager to return. Greetings to Paulina, Angelica and Katherine for their great support, their kindness, and warm smiles. Thank you for the call to remind us of our hats that we left behind in their Lobby. Also, a big thanks to Erick for his very helpful recommendations during our breakfast at the hotel restaurant. By the way, it was delicious! Thank you for this fabulous stay at this Pink Oasis in the heart of Merida!!!! Not in vain, the best Boutique Hotel Award 2024

We stayed at Rosas & Xocolate for 8 days and enjoyed every moment. The hotel is centrally located on the main paseo which made touring the local squares and other attractions easy to get to both day and night. Our room was comfortable - I slept soundly every night, the service was outstanding - the hotel was always clean and cozy, and the staff were friendly - always willing to help as needed. We took full advantage of all the services offered: spa, dining and their outdoor patios. We had dinner there late our first night after a long day of travel and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and great service. It was five stars above most other hotels' restaurants. Our room came with a complimentary breakfast. It too was delicious and had many choices, allowing us to try many local breakfast foods and beverages each morning. I would like to give a particular 'shout out' to Crisiant, the sales manager/concierge. He was extremely helpful in advance of our stay helping us arrange a private birding tour, sending us a list of excellent local restaurants within walking distance and rearranging our reservation and transportation from the airport on the fly when our stay was delayed due to an airline issues.

We had a reservation at the hotel from November 2 to 5. They gave us a dirty room with an old, crooked mattress, torn sheets, a dirty floor, and water leaking everywhere. We decided to leave the room on the 3rd and ask for a refund, but they refused.

Staff is very accommodating and attentive. Hotel was authentic to Merida. One did not feel you could be in anywhere in the world in a generic hotel room. The breakfasts in the restaurant were outstanding as were other meals. Tours arranged were informative and worthwhile.

A group of friends recently stayed at Rosas y& Xocolate/ boutique hotel + spa -Marriott Bonvoy in Mérida, Yucatàn| MEXICO with high hopes, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. While the staff was generally courteous, there were several issues that affected our stay. Three of the rooms we booked were not up to the standard we anticipated. The rooms were run down and lacked cleanliness in some areas. We had booked 5 nights and decided to leave after the first night. We offered to pay for all three rooms for the second night, as we understood the "short notice" early check out. The staff wouldn't let us communicate with the General Manager despite our requests. Unfortunately we were charged in full for the 5 nights, eventhough we only stayed there for 1 night. I would definitively not recommend staying in this hotel.

Firstly, this is a cute property with some nice design and is in a good location. However it’s totally overpriced and lacking in service or experience. Overall, the staff weren’t welcoming and wifi is sporadic. Absolutely no reference or benefit to being Bonvoy Platinum status. It was a special event so I decided to splurge for a suite which was a total waste of money. The room was tired (I understand it’s a heritage building but not an excuse for not updating or maintaining it) and hadn’t even been swept before our arrival. Most frustratingly, I’d booked on the basis of the private terrace. But it’s not at all private. The terrace is a shared space with another room, with some planters to divide which do not create any privacy. Moreover, there is a door/window from the public hallway on to the terrace so anyone walking by can look in on you. Given usage of the terrace was a big part of my interest in the suite, it was completely useless. I mentioned this on arrival and the staff were uninterested - a simple curtain could have been a massive help. I brought it up again when leaving and the guy “said I should have mentioned earlier” - which I had… The ‘included breakfast’ is quite good quality but it’s limited - lots of extras or not included. Probably fine for most cases but having spent so much money on the room I didn’t expect to be charged for an extra coffee or some fruit… Overall, a cute hotel that would be good in the moderate price range (I didn’t see a basic room) but when you pay high luxury prices one expects a lot more…

Great boutique hotel in a terrific location. Easy walk to almost everything you would want to see or go to eat in Merida. Staff is incredibly friendly. Excellent restaurant. Fitness center was new and needs to be a little better organized but still functional. Room was spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel if you go to Merida.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Our ground floor room had a nice layout, plenty of natural light and was comfortable. Some items are starting to show their age, like the shower and windows but overall a nice stay in a perfect location with easy walking to shops, restaurants, etc. The restaurant was also outstanding. One dinner and multiple breakfasts were excellent.
