We loved our stay. Our room was fabulous, large, well airconditioned. The bed was ok, a little hard but still ok. The atrium area is beautiful. Breakfast was perfect. Great service by the staff. Brenda was exceptional in arranging car pick ups and tours for us. Great location at corner of 59/68 and easy walking distance to shopping, dining, and local attractions.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. But what sets them apart is their genuine concern for guests. They treat you to breakfast pastries that are made by their chef each morning that I enjoyed in an open-air dining room each morning .i highly recommend this hotel

Charming historic property in the center of Mérida. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard which retains its historic charm. A simple breakfast is provided. You can request drinks from the bar. Worth. noting that some rooms are more charming than others (ours had very basic tiles and beds; others have the traditional decorative tiles and old-style four poster beds). Windows are onto the street - but noise wasn't too much of an issue. Breakfast is very basic (toast, fruit, coffee, juice). The offer drinks in the afternoon, but sadly no snacks to round out the aperitivo. Many locations in the historical center are about a 15-20 minute walk. Not a problem for those who like to walk (like me), but might be for others. Hotel offers 3 parking spots, but these can be full. Street parking was easy enough.

We had the pleasure of staying a few nights at the beautiful, unique hotel during our stay in Mérida. We stayed in the 2 level loft suite and loved it. Does it have a few quirks? Yes, but nothing that would stop of us from staying in the same room again. We LOVED having our spacious outdoor patio and the patio doors to opened up to it were the doors that slide all the way open so it’s like a whole wall disappears. It was just off the upstairs kitchen space and was perfect. We spent every morning and evening up there with coffee and wine. The room was in a more secluded part of the hotel, back by the quiet pool area. To access the room you had to go up 2 sets of stairs and once in, welcomed by a king sized bed. There is a lot of storage in this room as well. The stairs to the second level are not what we’d have at home, if you have mobility issues one of the other rooms might be a better choice. We loved the room, and hotel as a whole. It is very well located, walking distance to many restaurants and local sites. Daniella at the front desk was delightful as was the man on shift early in the morning the day of our 5:30am departure so we could catch our flight. We did use the parking while we were there. $130 pesos/day, just a minute walks away. We also went for a few dips in the small pool. It’s chilly, but great to cool off in. If you are thinking of staying here, you won’t regret it.

Really lovely rooms and welcoming staff. I felt really at home here; perhaps it was because the rooms are on two levels but it really felt like a little house inside a larger building. Breakfast area was also lovely. We were out really early for tours two days of our stay (before breakfast started) and the hotel made us bagged up breakfasts to take with us so we didnt have to worry about breakfast. Our favourite hotel of our trip to Mexico

Viva Mérida Hotel Boutique is an absolute gem, a beautiful piece of art. My niece, sister, cousin and I were all immediately taken with the place from the moment we walked into the interior courtyard after check in. It’s just beautiful. The rooms are spacious to say the least. Most are two levels, with a very large bathroom area taking the second level. This set up is exotic and fun, but if you have difficulty with stairs, this is not the hotel for you. The stairs up to the bathroom are steep, narrow, and the railing disproportionate. They could be a little (or a lot) difficult for people with mobility problems. But if you’re okay with stairs, it’s fine. The hotel has a small pool, a bar (closed currently due to Covid) and adjacent off street parking. It’s in a decent location, only 10 minutes walk from the central plaza of Mérida (Spoiler: I walk really fast.) All in all, Viva Mérida Hotel Boutique is one of the most memorable, enjoyable hotels I have stayed in.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an extremely pleasant time. The room was spacious, but the bed was a little small. The location is excellent for tourists looking to see Mérida. And is situated ideally for many restaurants and cafes. I can’t believe this is only a 3* hotel, it felt like a lot more. Would definitely recommend

When we first arrived to Merida from the airport, I was not super impressed with the outside of the hotel...However, the inside of the hotel and the rooms are lovely. As others have said, the courtyard is beautiful, and the breakfasts were so enjoyable. The bar wasnt open during the week in April that we were there, but they would get us a beer if we needed one, so maybe bring a bottle of wine if you want to enjoy a beverage in the evening. Also, I would recommend bringing a bag of Nespresso pods, as they only give you 2 for free and you have to ask for and pay for more, which is annoying when you want to enjoy a few cups of coffee in the morning on your own. Walking to the city center was quick and safe, about 4 blocks away.

My girlfried booked us in for a couple of nights being caught by the "Boutique" flavor of the hotel. I was sceptical, but the place really exceeded my expectations. Beautifully restored maisonette rooms, well equipped and quite stylish. AC and WiFi were strong, location very good to walk to all places you would want to walk to in Merida. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice, could have been only a bit quicker & bigger for my liking, but maybe the a la carte breakfast is only due to CoViD precautions, a buffet would be nicer. Would definitely recommend. PS: Rooms are really quiet even though facing a big street - very surprinsing to me.
