Do not book. Spend a bit more and book somewhere else. We didn’t mind the tired decor. It was a bit rustic. But the property lied about the rooms. We were a family group of 9 adults. We booked two double room apartments with a double bed in each and an additional bunk bed in each. There was no second room. The second double was a crappy pullout sofa bed which took up all the room in the tiny lounge room. The bunk beds were child-sized. We paid over 1000 British pounds per person to sleep on bunk beds. The pool was too cool and was closed from 7pm along with the sauna and steam room. There was a reception area with a log fire but this was closed to guests between 12 and 3pm and after 7pm. So no access to the pool table or fireplace or common lounge area. Although they only light the fire on Saturday during the day. It seems to be all about the comfort of the staff. Dreadful. The bathroom was tiny with a barely functioning shower which hung limply from the wall. The kitchen was tiny with no microwave and equipped with a random selection of cheap saucepans and some plastic utensils. Do not book.

We booked this place - as a group of five families - with our eyes wide open. We were aware the decor would be dated and the apartments old. We were prepared to overlook this for the ski in ski out position and the pool/gym facilities for the non skiers in the group. Imagine then our disappointment to find the pool/gym is closed between 11.45 and 3pm during the season! I do not understand this at all why on earth do they need to close for 3.75 hours in the Middle of the day? That’s just crazy. The pool doesn’t have a lifeguard and the gym is unmanned so why can’t people be allowed access all day? Meribel Village is very quiet tap the pool/gym was a large part of why we booked. The gym is very poor, there are no resistance machines and free weights limited to a couple of pairs of plastic dumbbells weighing 2 kg. There is no air con and no fans. It is absolutely not a luxury spa situation and the pool is not particularly warm. Oh and if you want a spare towel for the pool or gym you have to pay! You are expected to use your bath towels for showering, swimming and gym. Or pay. Being in a group of families we met up in the reception area one evening for a glass of wine to chat. The next day the extremely officious receptionist told us -as though we were naughty school children, as opposed to grown ups, who had paid a lot of money - that we were ‘forbidden’ from gathering in the reception area and drinking alcohol. To be clear it was not a rowdy event, we left at 7.30 pm when reception was closing. Our children were there with us It was simply a gathering of people on holiday reminiscing about their day. We cleared up after ourselves. The receptionist successfully managed to crush the holiday spirit treating us as though we were kids on a school trip simply because she decided she didn’t like it. I would have thought our business would have been appreciated and we would have been afforded some respect and customer service- apparently not. I sent an email through the P & V website to ask if this was a company policy and received no response. Thank goodness for Clemence who said we could meet up there on the evenings he was working. The apartments are, as mentioned, very dated and about 20 years overdue a renovation. Bedrooms are poky, bathrooms are tiny and grotty. NO mid week towel change. No mid week bed linen change. We were in block D, our bedroom overlooked the fire escape - quite an unwelcome surprise the first morning emeging from the bathroom to see someone about 1 metre away looking in through the window! The shower was at best a dribble and made the most extraordinary noise whilst on. The kitchen is well equipped. The cutlery looked new and the pans all decent, although we didn’t find a toaster. The walls are paper thin. The icing on the cake was a bag being delivered the night before leaving with an expectation for us to ***** the beds before our departure at 5.30 am! Whoever owns the building should close each b

Utterly terrible, filthy, made to ***** linens and clean for them on departure! Deeply depressing place to come back to after skiing all day! Pool in a totally seperate building through a toilet door! Dust everywhere and zero care given if you could even find anyone at reception!Avoid at all costs!

We returned this year having stayed at these apartments last year and really enjoyed them. Overall the apartments remain a decent place to stay. Well located, warm and cosy with all the essential amenities. However, the Deep Nature Spa advertised on booking is no longer open. We had purchased massages as part of our package and were told these now would happen in Meribel centre. However, 2 of our party were unable to receive these as the spa claimed we had cancelled them (we had not). With the spa shut, the facilities at Les Fermes as quite run down. Only 2 out of 4 sauna units were working. Of those two both had cracks in the wall and benches meaning they didn’t heat fully and were not comfortable. These facilities need updating or the the listing needs to be changed to amend what is on offer as currently the listing is misleading. Overall Meribel villages remains a good location and the flat itself did the job, but Pierre et vacances need to be more open with what is on offer. This is not a luxury residence anymore.

+ perfectly located, next to a ski lift + one cool bar/restaurant in front / supermarket as well + friendly employees + comfy bed When you see the reception and spa, you'll love it. But unfortunatley the apartments are far away from this condition compared to reception (main house). WC was stinky, some unpleasant smell from the toilet, in every room have been spiderwebs in the corners(ceilings), we wanted to cook and didn't even have one single pot or pan (cutlery and dish has been there) But we had nice neighbours where we could borrow ;) In generell the apartments are looking old and not so cozy. ;( - Pool hours in the evening just until 19.15h isn't enough. - 2 tiny saunas and I wanted to use one eve. But one of them was switched off and for the other one I needed to wait 30' because just 3 persons fit in there. And we needed to sit straight and without movin too much because the wood was cracked and one wooden beam was almost broken. And it didn't relly heated, we tried a lot. - relaxing room also closed. - Really sad that there's a cute room for playing but you have to pay 2€ for playing billard! it's really a pity that it's not simply for free for hotel guests ;( who has coins...

This place was rated as 4 star, I think it’s very dated. At most 2 star. The sofa bed looked very stained, furniture is very basic. Our apartment was very small. Staff friendly. Parking on street is very limited, wifi none existent. Good location, fairly central.

We stayed here for our first ski holiday with children (8&5). The location is absolutely perfect. It is in the quieter Village of Meribel, and the apartments are situated right at the bottom of the Golf chairlift, so are ski in, ski out. The free Meribel bus also stops 50m away and is very convenient. It is ~8 minute ride to the Chaudanne in Meribel Centre, where many ski schools are based. It has a lovely pool and a cosy reception/games area too. The apartments are certainly compact, as with many such Alpine apartments, but they are clean and have all you need. We had a 2 bedroom apartment; I’m not sure as a family of 4 it would be comfortable in a 1 bedroom one. In terms of local amenities, there is a nice boulangerie across the road, and a small ski hire shop. The Spar mini market has fairly slim pickings however, for eating in. There is a lively but family friendly bar/restaurant just opposite as well, which has a live band most late afternoons with cocktail happy hour and a nice restaurant inside. Slightly further up there is a hidden gem of a rustic traditional Savoyard restaurant we rather loved too. All in all, was a brilliant stay, thank you!

I have reviewed this hotel many times before. We stayed this year in a3 bedroom apartment booked through Cimalpes. Normally we book direct through Pierre & Vacances but you can't select your exact apartment whereas you can when you book through Cimalpes. The only downside is the wifi is slow. The views are amazing if you are piste side and we were ski in/ski out. We were self catering so had the choice to eat in or eat out. We love the location and would stay again.

Our disappointing experience started at check-in: after driving 1300 km and arriving at 16:30 first thing they said was: your room is not ready yet. So we waited and when the appartment was ready it still smelled and the dishes were still dirty. We stayed here 20 yrs ago too and it seems like bathroom and kitchen haven’t gotten much updates since. Bathroom had mould and smelled of mould, kitchen was very basic with chipped basin and very few mugs. The gym looked exactly like 20 yrs ago too. Really, for this price one expects a modern, up to date gym! Television and its remote control very dated too and remote control dirty and overused/broken. Provide digi tv for your clients if you wanne be in this price range! The wifi ( which you pay for in the package) did not work. We did speak to the staff about it and got new log in, but just didn’t work to any standard. When it did work, it banned work email, school portal and other useful sites. Really, no working wifi? It’s insulting really to provide this bad service and not invest in updates in this price category.
