I spent 6 nights at Aloha Hotel. It is a small establishment off the main road, so you are away from the noise of the pubs and eateries despite only being about 30m from the main street. Circle K right on the corner of the alley to the hotel, decent cafe’s for breakfast and coffee nearby. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face. There is a tour booking service available at affordable prices as well. Just be mindful that some of the tours have a min pax quota to commence, something to take note of if you are a solo traveller. They will usually group up people from different accommodations together for the tours, an excellent way to meet other travellers. I had a pleasant stay at Aloha Hotel and it will remain on my list for the next time I am visiting Yogyakarta.
