This small hotel seems to have ti all -- well located, friendly staff, great breakfast, good variety of rooms from which to choose. I was at a larger and fancier hotel for a few nights prior to my stay at the NH Cordillera, and much prefer the NH! The fourth floor rooms with terraces are very much worth the small extra cost! Highly recommend.

We stayed 2 weeks at NH, it's been a great experience. The location is fantastic, nicely located in the center of Mendoza. Plaza San Martin is right opposite the hotel, vibrant, sunny with palm trees. Plaza Independencia is only 5/10 min walking distance, and the long pedestrian street with many restaurants is also at 5 min distance. The rooms are nice. Although some "refreshment" would be needed. I strongly recommend you book the rooms on the 4th floor, those with terrace, if you can. The staff all along our stay was very nice, courteous and super helpful.

There are variety of rooms and if you are unlucky, as I was, you would end up in dated one. No sunlight and with view over the wall. That turned out to be an actual adventage as, as soon as I checked in, it turned out there's AC problem (despite setting at 19°C, actual room temperature was at boiling point: 25.5°C). Upon reporting the issue to the reception I was told it's a problem they've been working on. Since no improvements were made I was offered alternative room, that actually was just 0.5°C cooler. Not worth a hassle. For several days AC, despite being very loud, managed to keep the temperature at 23°C. When it broken down again, I was asked to leave my room so that the maintenance can happen, when I return after some time, upon information that issue has been resolved, the temperature drop was of significant 0.5°C (to 24.5°C from 25°C). I was offered alternative room, with nicer decor and a balcony, nevertheless I had to decline it as temperature there was showing 25.5°C. Suggestion from the staff was to keep the window open, which doesn't seem to offer any relief with outside temperature at about 30°C. To my distress, no further solution was offered other than filing the complaint. To be fair, both receptionists on duty were kind and trying to help, but to no avail as it seemed the problem isn't limited to my room but seem to be affecting entire building (colleagues who were staying at the same property complained for exact same thing). You simply can't claim 4* if you don't offer basic conditions for restful night. Loud and inefficient AC at semi desert climate is definitely a deal breaker to me

Hotel is old and tired. Everything is chipped and broken. Very noisy outside the rooms. Per others recommendations we did ask for a “Recently renovated” upper level room - I guess it was renovated in the past decade? Definitely not recently. Location is good, but traffic noise is loud. HVAC system in winter has either “extremely hot” or “really hot” - just turn it off, trust me.

This hotel is in a great location, close to local and tourist shopping and across from San Martin plaza. The rooms need an update. The furniture was heavily used and showed signs of wear/tear - bad scratches on paint and loose/wobbly bench in the room. The breakfast buffet is very good. Lots of fruit, pastries, breads, scrambled eggs, meats & cheese. The staff, both in the restaurant & front desk , were super nice! Aside from the update issues, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay

Exceptional front desk staff at this NH hotel. We stayed in a junior suite with a small balcony. It was nice. Nice breakfast buffet. There is small pool on the first floor - nice temperature. We needed to see a medical doctor at one point and the amazing staff arranged for one within an hour at no cost. We would recommend

We entered with 5 luggage bags and the staff stood and watched us struggle. We were charged for early check in, and when we asked for ice, we were told there is none. Corridors look like dormitories. I’ve been to 70 countries and this is the worst 4* I’ve ever stayed in. Ever!

Hotel had very good service. Rooms were smaller than expected but the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast staff and service was exceptional. Location was also excellent. Glad I went to this hotel and would return any time. Thank you
