We were on a “work away from home “ trip; although this meant we couldn’t make sure of all the amazing things nearby— the location , grounds, amenities made the trip AMAZING and rejuvenating despite working. The views from the outdoor seating/deck area were stunning and because of the inn size, it felt relaxing and intimate. And the food was fantastic… this was the most unexpected amazing part-l! Delicious, filling- we ended up not needing to eat our most nights. We will definitely be back!

My fiancé and I were seeking a serene, accessible escape before the arrival of our baby. Mendocino's promise of fresh air, stunning scenery, and tranquility made it the ideal choice. Brewery Gulch Inn was an absolute gem. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the inn's charm and ocean views. Our room, the Raven, was a cozy sanctuary perfect for relaxation. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the nightly appetizers were a delightful surprise. A highlight was our day hike in Mendocino Headlands State Park followed by indulgent massages. The prenatal massage was a blissful experience, thanks to Rebekkah and the amazing Neemah skincare products. The Babymoon Package was perfect. From the massages to the thoughtful amenities, it catered to our needs as expecting parents. We felt truly cared for. We can’t wait to return with our little one to create new memories at this special place. We spent three night at Brewery Gulch and could have stayed longer. Location is amazing - anyone complaining about barking harbor seals needs to just go home. Sara and her staff were outstanding. Inn and room were immaculate. Chef Stephen is top notch - breakfast is a must have, even for those toast and tea types, and the evening bento box is all you need for dinner - top quality ingredients, artfully prepared, fresh and perfectfully proportioned. Do not miss the morning snacks - we had lemon poppyseed muffins, coffee cake, and zucchini bread that would make you weep, they were that good. Izzy at the Front Desk in the afternoons pours lovely local wines and brews, and is patient with impatient, cocktail needy guests. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Mendocino is not easy to get to (we're talking to you Rte. 128) but Brewery Gulch is worth the trip!

Top notch hospitality, a beautiful setting, delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Lookout room at the Inn overlooking Smugglers Cove. Very private and quiet. The happy hour wine and appetizers in the evening are far more than advertised; the food is actually a dinner! And the best we had- better than our meal at Trillium which is so highly regarded. The made to order breakfasts are also delicious. We cannot wait to return.

This is the ONLY place to choose when you are staying in Mendocino. Yes there are many options but this is the whole package and then some! Been going for probably 18+ years and have stayed probably as many times if not more. There is new ownership (still miss Guy & Sara) but GM Sarah and all the crew including Iza, Josh and all of them make us feel like family spoil and take care of us. Worth every penny. When people look at prices and say how expensive places are we'll look at everything you get. Amazing room. Wonderful staff. Full breakfasts. Wine and beer and apps hour. (Side note: book their 5 day vacay avail November-May each year). Can't wait for our next visit.

The place was great. Had a feeling like home away from home. Setting was beautiful, the room was cozy and well appointed. The view overlooking the coast has incredible sunset views. The food was wonderful and the bento box is a great idea and lets you decide where you want to eat. Would stay again!
