Hotels near Melbourne Visitor Centre in Melbourne

I was booking for Selina Central Melbourne but i get told that there are flood, so my booking has change to Selina St.Kilda. i was come so late but the staff still in receptionist. All the staff are nice. Its goof for backpacker.

pros: Good situation, Convenient transportation nearby. cons: Maybe cause of detergent or disinfectant of bed sets, I felt my skin was itchy that never happened the hotels I lived before. After I lay down in the bed for 20mins, the itchy feeling came. When I went out, no itchy feeling came. We three people lived in this hotel, I was the first person to feel that. lateron, other two felt like I was. Alo, one of staffs at the front desk is not professional, my room number is 339, I said three thirty nine, he didn't know; I said double three nine, he didn't get it ether and he said I said wrong number. The hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Melbourne near the Spanish Quarter, Bourke Street Mall, and other shopping precincts. The staff are friendly and efficient at check-in. The rooms are good in size with modern amenities and comfortable beds. There is a kettle and small fridge. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, so if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There is no rail to hold onto when getting in or out, which makes it dangerous, especially as it gets slippery. There is a pool and gyn which were modern and accessible. The room we had faced into the mezzanine of the hotel so you dont get any light from outside, which was strange. The room was very quiet and had a good air conditioner. Overall, we would stay here again, although the lack of being able to see outside wasn't ideal, and if you stayed for more than one night, it could be an issue.

1 night stay Perfect location 5min walk to flinders station crown. 7 eleven across the road. Holiday inn express as always very innovative room. Bathroom ideal with all amenities in pump bottles so plentiful supply. Friendly staff with fast checkin. Free breakfast was amazing Cerial toast latte juice scrambled egg sausage hash brown bacon. 10 out of 10

The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the Yarra River. It is very convenient to go to the riverside to eat and play. It is only a few hundred meters across the bridge to the city center at Flinders Station. Find peace amidst the noise. You can check in by yourself, the hotel supplies are all available, there is a microwave to heat food, simple cooking utensils are useful, clean, I personally think the bed is too soft. The room decoration, the small radio station beside the bed is quite industrial style.

It’s an old hotel and needs upgrading. Pool area is a disaster, dull and ugly. Very outdated decor. Hallway dark and gloomy. The bedroom was worn out. Bed head material was coming apart. Not a 5 star hotel and definitely not value for money. There are much newer and cheaper hotels in Melbourne with better amenities. The one thing that was fabulous was the breakfast. Amazing variety, wonderful staff and lovely ambience. The location of the hotel is also great and convenient as it is close to amazing restaurants and bars. The pillows were also comfortable.

Good location. Room was quite small. No hotel toiletries provided was informed the same will be provided only upon request. Reception staff not very hands on the hotel policies. The sparkling/spring bottle of water & cookies were given during checkin. We were informed that the water is refillable. Later when we requested for the same the night shift receptionist said that it will cost AUD5.00 per bottle. For breakfast same food were served during our 4 days stay. Ms. Nos was very efficient, helpful and cheerful.

we could not fault this hotel! Perfect! We got an amazing rate so werent expecting ,much. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Best location - right on tram stop, a few step to the mall and laneways. the alley that it is located in has some cute coffee shops but not open on w'ends. Every staff member we encountered was bubbly and helpful. Our room was on a corner so we had plenty of windows, big comfy bed, soft sheets and towels, lovely decor, and so clean. Would definately recommend this lovely hotel!

Gorgeous stay at this lovely hotel. It was my birthday and it was great to be able to check in early when we got there just after 12 noon. Our room was fantastic, the bed and linens divine and the bathroom huge with lovely gels, soaps etc. We had booked afternoon tea and it was superb with some more unusual sweet offerings. Cocktails and a cheese platter later that night when we returned from seeing some Comedy Festival acts capped our night off beautifully. We had a late checkout so plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic breakfast with everything you'd expect to be on offer. It looked like there was a delicious make-your-own pho-style soup for vegans available too. The staff were terrific. A number of them had little badges on that advised they were in training but you'd never know - service from everyone was polished, pleasant and efficient. Truly service to a high standard worthy of this lovely property. Yes, there's a big building site next door as a new underground station is being constructed - dont let that put you off, you'd never know it was going on once you are inside. No doubt that this is our new favourite hotel in Melbourne - a truly polished but warm and friendly offering to high standard.
