Pluses: Lakeside location with great views from the public areas. Close to the airport with quick and efficient transfers. Decent meeting rooms and conference facilities. Food is OK although not outstanding for the price. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. Minuses: Being 5 star is more than just listing the facilities. Patchy levels of service with reasonable requests being met with unhelpfulness. Some of the decor, fittings and furniture is very poorly maintained. No alcohol served in the hotel or anywhere around, apparently because the entire area was or is owned by the Saudis.

We had booked a triple room instead just arrived we received a up grade in small suites ! Very gentle!! Room with double bed, kitchen room and bed sofa and bathroom in modern style. I felt home.The place is very clean, quiet and comfortable. We asked for the missing covers for the bed sofa and immediately served us with coats and covers just out of the washing machine. It is a pity that there is no restaurant that serves for dinner, because there are no fast food or restaurants with local kitchen, but only a room next to the hotel Maia that serves coffee and sandwich/sweet sandwiches. We went down for breakfast the morning and I must say that the whole thing was delicious, especially fresh bean juice and bread. We stayed for a night all in quiet ... Hotel Maia is excellent price and pleasant stay. The only negative side is the lack of availability of dinner in hotels and the distance from the center of the capital for the rest is all excellent!

First of all, just arrived in the room housekeeper seems to knock on the wrong door, and then found a strange hair on the bathroom towel. The bathrobe was all threaded. It was my second stay in this fantastic place and will definitely return. The hotel is situated in the hearth of medina close to everything you need for business trip or holyday. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. If you are history lovers, you will definitely fall in love with this place. The staff is very nice and very helpful. The breakfast is very good and very tasty. I stayed in November when the restaurants close quite early in Medina so I really appreciated the possibility to have a dinner in the hotel restaurant when you can taste delicious local food for good prices. And there is a rooftop with romantic view on nocturne Tunis. In the winter the rooms may be quite cold in the night although the heating is available. But all in all this hotel offers an excellent experience for reasonable price. And do not hesitate to ask for their taxi driver from and to the airport. It may safe your time and money.

The room is not bad, the space is large, the windows are large, the breakfast is also very delicious, very rich. I liked the location and the staff at this hotel. I disliked the basic rooms, lack of hairdryer, poor amenities and lack of soundproof. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Its central location was convenient for accessing city amenities. Check-in was efficient, and payment with a card was accepted. Staff was amazing, very kind and professional, always smiling and ready to help. However, the rooms are basic, lacking soundproofing. I could hear water flowing through pipes, noise from breakfast preparation, and experienced a persistent humming from the ceiling in room 101, possibly from the air conditioning. After relocating to room 401, the lack of noise improved, though bring your earplugs. There is a space under your door and you can hear your neighbors closing doors, walking, breathing. The breakfast selection was minimal, consisting mainly of bread, butter, one egg, kids juice, coffee and milk. On the last night, the elevator was out of order, causing disruptive noise until morning. The lack of amenities and noise disturbances affected the overall quality of my stay. Despite the convenient location, clean rooms, the value for money was questionable.

The hotel is very new, the equipment is good, the most nice thing is that the hotel staff has no problem in English communication, and the room is automatically upgraded to a suite, giving a big surprise.
