What a treat, the hotel is small and perfectly formed. The staff are incredible, thank you Nicky, Eleni, Demitris, and everyone for making it so special. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and the view incredible. Across the road isn’t beach and the water clean and perfect. Town is a 15-20 minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants. Everything closes for the winter mid October so we were lucky and it was lovely and quiet but still open. We went all exclusive which was great but the menu doesn’t change all each day, other than one main course (of which they do run out of, if you don’t book an early table), so was slightly hard to choose what to eat at lunch and dinner especially as my partner is vegan and there was no flexibility from the menu at all. It was suggested he eat cheese and fish as an alternative to being vegan! We realised soup of the day was soup of the week, luckily it was vegetable so it was an option! Other than that minor gripe it was an incredible trip thank you. Greater flexibility on food would have made it even better.

The hotel is located just outside Skiathos town but a relatively easy walk into town once you find the quiet route, 15-20 minutes. You are on the bus route with prices 2 or 3 Euro per trip depending on how far you go. Note the buses can sometimes be very busy especially mid to late morning people heading west to the beaches or evening with people heading into town. Most reviews say it but the hotel has a lot of steps and no lifts or paths. From road to the higher rooms probably over 90 and the restaurant and pool are near the bottom. The staff are really friendly and efficient and make the hotel. Pool is large and clean but there were probably just enough loungers when we were there and getting ones with shade can be difficult. There were some of the normal lounger grabbers who give tourists a bad name. The hotel itself although looking good from the outside could do with a bit of investment for refurbishment. Our balcony sun loungers were metal mesh and fairly uncomfortable even with cushions taken from the settee. All the mosquito meshes were in place but some of the other net curtains were torn and the curtain rails were mounted so close to the ceiling that you could only move the curtains by climbing on a chair and working hard. Hot water failed twice, quickly fixed but got the impression the fault was well known. If you don't have a top floor room then furniture being moved above can be really noise. Our bedroom was below the balcony above so not great. We had room 106 which has a balcony with roof so there is shade and it was very usable, some have no shade and are not that comfortable. The day menu snacks ( really meals) were really good. Breakfast was fine but not the best we have had. We didn't try evening meals because within 10 minutes walk there are a range of tavernas right on the sea shore. Mentioning shore there is a beach just across the road which is quite pleasant though our favourite was Troulos, a crowded bus trip away but worth the effort. Glorious sand and good restaurants.

We had a wonderful holiday at Aegean suites. The staff were the best we have ever encountered. Niki in-the bar and Dimitris and his buddy in the restaurant. No hesitation in recommending. Nothing was a problem. Reception was very helpful if anything needed sorting. Beach over the road and 15 mins walk to town centre. 5 stars all round

It was our first time to Skiathos but it won't be our last. We had a fantastic holiday at the Aegean Suites which is one of the most relaxing and peaceful hotels we have stayed in. And it serves the best breakfasts we have ever experienced!! The hotel is small and quaint - it is not modern, minimalist five star so you may be disappointed if that is what you are expecting - but it is full of character and traditional furnishings. The staff are exceptional and make you feel like royalty. Because it is only a small hotel, they get to know your names and faces and we were always greeted with a smile and a friendly chat every time we went to breakfast or came home from an evening out. Special thanks to Dimitrius, who was superb, as well as Orestis (both breakfast waiters) and Nicki (behind the pool bar and occasionally at breakfast) who all couldn't do enough for us and really made our holiday special. Because the hotel is cleverly built into the hillside, there are a lot of steps up to the rooms (and no lift) and Skiathos is very hilly but this didn't bother us. However, it would be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties, especially in the heat we experienced. The pool area is lovely with the most comfortable sunbeds - and there were always some free whatever time of day. It feels very exclusive and there is certainly no need to put towels down to reserve a bed. The beach near the hotel is not the best, so we frequently made use of the brilliant hotel shuttle service to the sister Princess Hotel just 10 mins away (not adults only so there were quite a few children around their pool). This hotel has an amazing beach, beautiful clear sea, with free towels, sunbeds and umbrella (for Aegean guests). The beach bar and restaurant is lovely and we really enjoyed our beach days there - but loved coming back to the peaceful and relaxing pool area at the Aegean. We walked into Skiathos some nights which is about 20 mins, but most of the time we ate at the little tavernas near to the hotel along the beachside. Our favourite was Siferi - home cooked Greek food and very reasonably priced. We made use of the very efficient bus system - taking a trip to Koukanaries and also to Troulos Bay. The bus makes it very easy to get out and about and see a bit of the island. Another recommendation would be the Mamma Mia boat trip which we booked at Skiathos Town harbour. A fantastic day visiting the gorgeous film locations. We would definitely go back to Skiathos and this hotel.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The staff go above and beyond and nothing is to much trouble. The breakfast in the morning was table service and anything you want they would do for you. The staff make the hotel. Yes there is a lot of steps to get to the rooms but the experience of the hotel outweighed this. I would 100% go back here.

We have just returned from our first visit to Skiathos and this lovely hotel. Rooms are large with plenty of storage and the most comfortable beds! A couple of niggles in our room but didnt detract from a wonderful holiday. The television is in the bedroom in front of dressing table and mirror. There is so much space that an alcove could be made into dressing table area. Our dressing gowns had seen better days also with pockets hanging off and rips in them. The pool area is fantastic with comfy sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas. We loved where the hotel was situated and enjoyed the walk into town. Skiathos is very hilly with plenty of steps to navigate which wasnt a problem for us but something to bear in mind for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast was exceptional! So much choice and served by Arestis and Damitris. Lovely waiters always with happy faces and made us laugh every day. Special mention also to Arris on reception who was always ready for a chat when we returned from our evening out. We would definitely return to the island and to this hotel.

Great little adults only hotel with a round 20 rooms, serving good food and combined with excellent service. It's a Greek "5 star" (so in reality, a nice UK 4* quality in my opinion). Everything clean and serviceable, could probably do with a refresh in some of the room features, but it certainly didn't detract from our stay and if you read all the comments about the number of stairs, it really isn't too much hassle.....the thought is worse than the reality; although if you are elderly or have trouble walking, you will always encounter some stairs, so perhaps not ideal for people with limited mobility. It exceeded our expectations and has been our favourite Greek Island holiday ever......and we have had quite a few. Even the guests seemed more friendly than normal, with people happily chatting away with social pleasantries at breakfast etc. but no-one was intrusive, it just had a friendly vibe in the atmosphere. This is probably a sign of how much they were probably enjoying themselves too; so another positive reflection on the hotel and their staff.

We stayed at The Aegean Suites towards the end of September and from our first day to the last we totally enjoyed our stay. All the staff were exceptional and the food was fabulous and the portions were huge. The fresh food platter at breakfast was delicious and it was so big we ended up feasting on it the next on our balcony. The last 3 days we were upgraded from b&b to all inclusive which was an added treat, all in all credit to all the staff who work in the hotel to make all the guests have an exceptional holiday and a big shout out to Dimitris who's service was fantastic. We wouldn't hesitate in returning however maybe in a suite a little lower down, 130 steps back to our suite was a little tiring in the heat however my calfs have never been so toned!

Amazing staff, so helpful and friendly. Lovely suite of rooms, nice & clean. Food was so different and very tasty. The beach just over the road was rather short & had no sun beds but maybe that was because the season there is finishing. Still a great holiday!
