Posada Alegria

We were there as a group for 10 days and were super happy with the accommodation. Posada Alegria is a fantastic guesthouse for exploring the whole of Cadiz province without having to change hotels. It is quiet despite its central location, there are parking spaces, a supermarket, bakery, bars, restaurants and the lively Plaza Espana is just 100m away. The rooms are really nice and super clean. The beds were also very comfortable. There is even a fully equipped apartment with a washing machine, which was great. We really liked Medina Sidonia, it is an insider tip among the white villages, authentic, lively but much less touristy than on the Mediterranean coast, 3000 years of history that is still visible in many corners, with great views of the Atlantic coast. Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Tarifa with whale watching and Baelo Claudia, as well as Gibraltar can be reached in less than an hour. The beautiful sandy beaches such as, for example, B. El Palmar, Conil, Playa Barrosa, Camposoto can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Medina is located between the nature parks "Los Alcornocales" and "Los Torunes" so the location and region is very varied and absolutely suitable for hikers, cyclists, horse lovers, sightseeing, city strolls, history, surfers, beach lovers. On top of that we got valuable tips for excursions from the owner, who is super nice. For us as a group and for the tour it was just perfect. We definitely want to come back.
