Tara View Apartments

This place is a step up from a hostel but barely. I obviously didn't read the negative reviews or we wouldn't have booked this place. Breakfast is instant coffee, corn flakes and some milk. The milk was current but who knows how long the cupboard stuff had been there. Certainly not worth the price charged.

I'd only stay here again at a push. Reasonably priced but not good. Location not great, layout of apartment not great. We stayed in apartment 3, if you get this apartment on check in, hand back the keys. There are a number of apartments in this complex, all look like they have a different layout. I'd bet they use the best apartment photos for the website because our apartment did not look like the promo photos. Scheduled Electricity outage the morning we were leaving, no apology or prior notice from staff. Had to shower in the dark and unable to cook breakfast. We were happy to be leaving. Generator was set up and we were told power would be run from this but of course it was only used to run power to the onsite play centre otherwise they would have had to cancel kids parties and lose revenue, we and other guests had already paid for our stay so we didnt matter.

Very disappointed, owners are very rude and attempted to intimidate our group. Would not recommend, facilities are alright but owners made us feel uneasy which you do not want to feel on your holidays. People have travelled from the likes of America, Scotland and England for their holiday and are very sad and disappointed

What a gem of a place to find. We arrived late on Friday evening to find a fully stocked apartment with tea, coffee, milk, juices and cereal for brekkie. The apartment was spacious and spotless they really thought of everything. We will definitely return, it's so close to Tayto park we just wished we booked for longer. Thank you to Valerie and Louise sorry we didn't get to meet you on this trip, but thank you for the detailed message with directions and key location etc, ( hopefully next time). We will be telling all our extended family and friends about your beautiful apartments.

Louise and her family were so accommodating, they went over and above for us. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. Location is beautiful. Perfect for families with young children. The location is near Slane, Emerald Park and not too far from Dublin.

We stayed as a family of 4. The check-in for this apartment is via a key box, there is no reception desk. The apartment was clean and contained the cooker, fridge etc noted in the description. It is a studio apartment with a second windowless room containing two single beds. The shower rail fell off the wall during our stay. The laminate floor had very annoying creaks which require repair and there was some noise from neighbours. The fire alarm went off at 1am and given there is no reception it was difficult to arrange for it to be switched off, which it was eventually. Poor value for money, I won’t be returning.
