Stayed for 2 separate business nights on my way to Brownsville. A short 8 minute walk from the airport. It's fine. Nothing special. Friendly staff. Rooms are not super fresh but I slept well. Noisy AC. For breakfast, I would add a bit more fresh cut fruit and encourage the use of washable dishes. All that waste...

The rooms smell like mildew/mold. This place has not been updated inside for god knows how long. It’s a dump. Air conditioning didn't really work, hard to find any staff, the beds ******, the TVs ******, etc… It is very difficult to sleep because if the smell coming from the room.

My team and I had an 18 day stay with the Fairfield. The cleanliness of the room was below par. we found active roaches in each of our rooms. The nurse that was with use had bed bugs on her bed and management stated “We have a big problem here that we are trying to solve.“ We didn’t have a choice but to stay in this infestation because our travel could not be moved right away. The front desk attendant was very nice and apologetic. She moved us rooms and even after that it continued to be a problem. I never knew bug spray was included in things to pack. I contacted Bonvoy and Fairfield and they comp me 20,000 points for our misfortune. 20k? I take that as an insult and a slap in the face. 18 days we had to deal with this place. I would not stay at this particular location again ever!

Couldn't have been better cared for by the staff here. Rosie let me know about the shuttle service when I just wanted a snack. George was world's best shuttle driver and took me to HEB. Was so patient while I got breakfast and bananas. Rosie helped me kindly with my room placement needs and was constantly kind and understanding. Viola was a delight in the morning. Wonderful experience because of the staff.

Room was ok not great but acceptable. Not real happy with the room cleaning policy. Seems a bit extreme 3 days before they clean. Their breakfast for the homeless and bums policy seem just wrong. A quite filthy person came in at about 7 am and stuffed his pockets with a wide variety of food and drinks. Then walked out the door. The staff stood by and laughed. The next day I watched a staff leave and go to the parking lot with a plate full of food. A few minutes latter return with it a few minutes later they came back. I then realized that they were feeding the homeless. I assume the regular person she was going to feed wasn't where he was supposed to be. I latter ask at the desk what is the policy about non guest at breakfast. I was told that some of the guests look like homless and the staff don't ask due to that. That is very very different than other places I've been. IMHO There is so much wrong with this soup kitchen philosophy I don't know were to start. I doubt that this is a management policy at least I hope not.
