My Business partner and I make numerous trips to McAllen, and the Rio Grande valley. Our top and only spot to stay is at the Cambria Hotel. The front desk lady couldn't even find my reservation even when I had a confirmation number and an email she said that I reserved through a third party (TripAdvisor) and the reservation was under my mother's name and I was the one who made it and pay for it. The carpet of the room was so dirty, and the toilet was not even working right, I had to flush it like five times to make it to work. When I requested another room she gave me the keys of another room and they were not even working. So I had to go back and forth like three times to change keys and none were working. The lady was not helping at all and she had a bad attitude she made me wait for long time in the lobby. At this point I didn't want to stay in that hotel anymore because I was with my mother, she is 61 and she needs a special service so I requested cancellation of the room and a refund she said that I reserved it through a third party(TripAdvisor) and she couldn't do anything because she didn't know what I had pay for. So she denied a refund. I had to call the corporation office to solve the problem and she acted like she was talking to her manager. When I requested to talk to her manager she said she was talking to her boyfriend. Obviously I got upset and I just asked to respect my rights as a customer, because I had already paid. She didn't care that I had my mother with me and she kicked me out the hotel with my sick mother and she called the police on me like I was a criminal. Also I have to pay a $50 deposit. She said she was going to give me the money back. As today , I haven't got any refund. Please take action about this poor customer service. The employee was so rude. And please help me get my money back. Also I recorded a video of the keys not working so you can see that I'm not lying. And also I took a picture of the sticker they have on the door of ”TripAdvisor”. They have a sticker promoting TripAdvisor at the door but when I asked her about TripAdvisor, she said she doesn't have any idea about that and she doesn't even know what I had paid for through you. We went for a wedding and the Christmas holiday and it was absolutely amazing. We got a beautiful view of the South Pole holiday attraction, the happy hour was on point the food was delicious breakfast was custom and complimentary and dinner was excellent and affordable. We tried a little bit of all the food they offered and not one disappointed! The service was super friendly and would greet you in the halls. We had to order a few things and they came quickly the space and the cleanliness was phenomenal. I will never stay anywhere else when I visit the Valley again. It was well worth it and just takes you to another place where you're taken care of.

The room is OK, the bathroom facilities are a bit problematic

The housekeeping was very good and they were very detailed on the cleaning for the 3 nights that we stayed there. They breakfast was outstanding and at of the plates that they had for breakfast was chicharrón con salsa and that was so delicious. Also, they just finished with remodeling the hotel and the hotel looks outstanding.

In rural Texas, hotels are already good, but health is indeed a bit painful for girls, even seeing ants on the bed, so I dare not sleep all night. The bathroom is still relatively clean. The little brother at the front desk of the hotel is also very good. It can basically meet most of the problems. The shuttle bus can also take you to a place not far away for free. There is a driver whose English is a little bit not very good, but it is simple to understand. It is still much easier to return to Spanish in Mcallen.
