Apartamentos Oasis de las Palmeras

We stopped at this bar a while back for lunch and it was good, so much so we booked accommodation for a few months later and we were not disappointed. I realise some of the latest reviews are not good but, having lived in Spain for the last 23 years, in our experience, this complex is quite unique. The bar/restaurant is always busy from 9am onwards, it is cleaned and jet washed before service. Most of the staff are young, but I found if you try to engage in conversation with Spanish or English the procedure to order food or drink is fine. The bar/restaurant area is huge and must be a nightmare to control but if you are not in a hurry it’s fine. The food quality is good, drinks and pricing is very good value. The apartments are very nice, 2 pools which are exceptionally clean, the areas around both these pools are quite unique and each apartment has its own privacy.

We have been coming to this place for many years, but noticed a deterioration last year This year, it was even worse Many dishes not available, Furniture needs a revamp The menus are filthy and need replacing The staff did their best but there are not enough and not adequately trained. Such a shame as this used to be a super little place

Shockingly slow, bad service. The staff ignore you! Way too busy, not enough staff. The food is cheap enough, expected considering its frozen food. Only bonus is that it’s right on the beach. I wouldn’t visit again, I’d try one of the other restaurants along the beach next time.

Great views of the sea while we sat and enjoyed our cocktails. We stayed two nights. The grounds are very well kept. The swimming pools looked lovely but it was too cold to jump in. The tapas was tasty but the service was a bit hit and miss and on one occasion we had to ask for our change. The apartment was clean and bright and spacious but I think a few more details could have been useful. (how to use the shower, what time did we need to leave) Simple things like a hook to hang the teatowel would be useful. There were only double beds, no twins. But overall, we had a good time and would go back again.

We have used the oasis many times as we live nearby, having friends over we decided to end the evening there, the bar area was full as there was live music on, the restaurant area was empty though so we sat and ordered drinks, the drinks came and after about 10 minutes the waitress brought menu’s we didn’t want food as we had already eaten so halfway through our drinks with nowhere else to sit we was told to Leave, nowhere did we see a sign saying you had to purchase food, with no other seating available we took our drinks over to the beach and sat on the stone benches, the restaurant area was still empty so what difference did it make to them we would have most probably spent around 40 euros on drinks so it was there loss as we finished our drinks and moved on to another bar, we will still go to the oasis as it is very local but maybe a sign telling you food must be purchased would have helped.

After a terrible start to our holiday in this region we booked this place for one night to see what it was like before we committed to a six night stay. We had two dogs with us so we didnt know what to expect. However, as soon as we got through thr main gate we were hooked. The place was great. The apartments were comfortable and really nice. The gardens for the dogs were lovely. There was free Tennis courts, table tennis and kayaks. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the attached bar was disappointing as I have never experienced such a miserable staff for many a year. Having said that I would recommend this place to stay at.
