Lovely second visit to Stella Maris Shore House. Great place to stay to explore the beauty of West Mayo. Love the historical significance of the building. Makes staying here more special than purpose built hotel. View of the sea when eyes open in the morning - what could be nicer!

We had a very pleasant stay at Stella Maris, great breakfast with good choices for all, very attentive staff, amazing views. Very relaxing atmoshere. The room had two windows with sea views, very comfortable bed. Perhaps some more lunch options would be good to have

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, gorgeous food, breakfast was excellent and location with fantastic views was fabulous. Will definitely return to this fabulous hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel in Ballycastle Co. Mayo. 😊

Stella Maris is stellar… special and it’s due to the lead of the owner Rolf. The rooms are specious and charming. The sunroom is a highlight with spectacular views of the rolling sea. The food is wonderful. All this is due to the lead and tone of the owner Rolf. He is the soul of the place and is ever present to ensure your stay is wonderful… and our stay was exactly that!

Would highly recommend The Stella Maris Shore House Hotel. Our stay was made so special with the faultless hospitality of Rolf and the warm welcome we received. Great spot to chill out with fantastic sea views. Our room was spotless with all the facilities you need. A great breakfast was served the next morning.

Very nice views of the sea and Downpatrick head in the distance. Rolf, the host is very attentive and concerned about his guests. He gave us excellent excursion tips. The breakfast as well as the cold plate for dinner were freshly prepared with local ingredients.

We had a wonderful stay at Stella Maris Shore House. The location is incredible and a great base for exploring beautiful north County Mayo. Rolf is an amazing host who strives to make everything perfect for your visit. The room was very comfortable with a great view. Breakfast is amazing. The hotel has a wonderful conservatory and bar for relaxing after a day or sightseeing. We cannot recommend this place too highly - you will not be disappointed! We hope to come back in the future.

We were enthralled by our stay in Stella Maris. Location, history and host all make it a wonderful place for a break. We enjoyed charcuterie board on our first night, together with a bottle of wine. There were so many delights on the board, with quality and taste superb. Breakfasts were top quality, including the home made brown bread. Of course the highlight is the wonderful hosting by Rolf. Plans to return already under way.

A beautiful location by the sea and superb facilities, well worth a visit, especially if you are walking the western way. Both the garden and sea view rooms are lovely. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Delicious Irish breakfast and pancakes also available for those with a sweet tooth.
