Yet another perfect stay at Budock Vean. We visit twice a year, and as always we received a warm welcome from the team, especially Anda and Wendell at reception. The rooms are lovely and beds are super comfy; we had a great view over the golf course too. We always look forward to the delicious breakfasts, especially the cooked breakfast and the salmon and scrambled eggs! This hotel is in the perfect location in the stunning Helford Estuary, peaceful yet walking distance to the SW coast path, Glendurgan and Trebah, near to Falmouth, Helford, lots of amazing beaches and so many other attractions. Look forward to seeing you again when we return in May!

I found this superb hotel on Trip Advisor. I had booked for 4 nights and was fortunate to be upgraded to a Signature room, with a wonderful view of the golf course and grounds. The room is very spacious with a 6ft bed, beautiful linen and covers. Comfy bed and pillows. Wonderful thick curtains. The sparkling clean bathroom and separate toilet were newly fitted and spotlessly clean. Lots of white fluffy towels and 2 bathrobes/slippers. There were beautiful Elemis products to use. Large selection of tea and coffee supplied in the room. It was special to be able to swim in the stunning pool, every morning, mostly on my own, followed by a sauna or foamy hot tub outside in the Autumn sunshine.

I stayed overnight as a solo guest on a weekend. I felt completely safe whilst at the hotel at all times. I opted to have room service in my room as I wanted some peace and quiet! I did have to go to reception to find out what menu I could choose from but they were helpful and took my order whilst i was there. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best meals I had ever eaten. I will say however that the portion sizes were small and I was pretty much hungry the entire duration of my stay. The room was spacious and relatively clean. The bathroom was modern and light. I was really impressed by the fact the hotel room was actually warm as I usually find them to be cold upon entry. The hotel was extremely quiet at night and I enjoyed looking over the golf course as the sun set. The breakfast menu was quite limited in my opinion. It was basically cereal, yoghurt, croissants and hot cooked breakfast, which again was nothing extensive. I asked for a plate of bacon, tomatoes, sausage and potatoes and literally recieved a plate of one of each item.. But it was all cooked thoroughly and again was very tasty and well seasoned. Although I didn't ask for much during my stay, I got the impression that nothing was too much to ask for and every staff member I came across were polite and pleasant.

Words fail me - the narrative that talks to the ambience and facilities of the spa are nowhere near the reality . What a dreadful state the whole spa facility is . Out of date , grim running down the windows , soggy carpet around pool , one small changing area and shared lockers . We complained refused to under go out treatments and were immediately refunded (an admission of guilt perhaps !) ; it’s shocking that the claims made fail so abysmally . What a terrible place

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful location. Superb Food. Amazing, very efficient staff who made everything seem effortless and nothing was too much trouble which created a very relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant staff where a pleasure to watch. Young people trained by a great head waitress. They calmly went about their work without a phone in their hands or standing in groups talking and laughing. Can't remember the last place I saw that happen. Please don't change. I'll definitely be back.

Budock Vean is my favourite place no matter what time of year, and following a great party night in 2023 we booked again for 2024. Food was delicious, as always, and staff are awesome. Great to see the same faces year on year which demonstrates the care they have for their employees. However, the only reason I dropped to 4 stars was the attire this year. Usually we feel very comfortable in black tie and evening gown, but this year, we stood out like a sore thumb, which was a shame. With some people dressing in jeans it would be a good idea to suggest lounge or dinner suite, especially as you request dinner jackets for a normal evening meal.

We know Budock Vean very well, my husband is a member of the golf club. He plays golf several times a week with my friend's husband, while they play we go to the beach and swim in the river, we are now using the pool weekly. On Sunday, with visiting family, we had lunch in the dining room. We had the Christmas set meal and it was wonderful. The hotel looks beautiful with its decorations and the food was amazing. So tasty, we could not fault anything. The restaurant staff were so attentive and efficient but also so friendly. We were very impressed with a young lady waiting on our table who told us she had only been a member of the team for a couple of weeks. Terry in the bar was also very busy but still had time to be as friendly as usual. I know there are new owners at Budock but I hope changes are more cosmetic and that the amazing team working there remain, it would be a pity to lose the people that make the hotel special. Our family! My wife and I, my daughter and husband and two grandchildren stayed the weekend Storm Bert made land fall for my wife's birthday. We had the worst drive of our lives across Dartmoor and 12 inches of snow with 2 1/2 hours of going nowhere. On our arrival we were immediately cocooned with the greatest of care - accommodation, food and ambience and felt so so relaxed. My daughter summed our experience up far better than I could ever do by saying " They did not miss a beat in delivering excellence". And so they did! Would we go back? When is the answer! Thank you all for making it so special!
