We (like many others) have been going to The Park for years. Our son was only one when we first stayed, he’s now seventeen. When we first started staying The Park was amazing! We loved everything about it. It was eco friendly, there were herb gardens for each property, the decor reflected Cornwall perfectly. With many of the lamps doted around each property being made from local drift wood. The decor even inspired me to become an interior designer. Many years later the park has slowly fallen into disrepair. When items have been broken over time they’ve been replaced with cheap items bought from places such as ‘The Range’. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this if you are paying for a budget holiday but ‘The Park’ certainly does not charge budget prices! When we stayed in October I was sat in what used to be called ‘The Kitchen’ but has now been renamed ‘The Mojo’…I mean why? What relevance does that have? ‘The kitchen’ was a perfect name. It did exactly what is said on the tin. Anyway I digress, whilst sitting there the new owners were discussing replacing the bar…with I believe a marble work top. I remember sitting there and thinking why? It looks perfectly good as it is…rustic and perfect for a Cornish restaurant. Maybe the money should be spent on bringing the accommodation up to date. Making sure things like heated towel rails work so your towel doesn’t end up being wet for the entirety of your holiday. Or an oven that heats up enough to cook your pizzas in less than an hour but no money is being spent on Shepherd Lodges that sleep two and a spa aimed at singles or couples. The families who have stayed here for years and future families seem forgotten. As a previous review has commented, ‘The Park’ closed for maintenance for eight weeks at the beginning of the year. As we knew this was happening we booked again for Easter in hopes serious changes would have been made but after reading that review, it seems this has not happened. With less than two weeks to go to our Easter Holiday. ‘The Park’ called to let us know we could no longer have breakfast at ‘The Mojo’ Monday to Wednesday as they’ve stopped serving breakfasts on those days and the Sunday dinner we’ve been having there for years was also cancelled as they’ve stopped serving Sunday dinners! This is incredibly disappointing. Breakfasts at ‘The Park’ have always been amazing. In fact the food has always been good. I don’t understand why they would stop serving on certain days/times and why do that now that now before the Easter Holidays. The best thing about the park beyond a shadow of a doubt is the incredibly hard working staff. They are beyond amazing!!! We know for a fact they have tried in vain to inform the owners of what needs to be done. Their jobs (especially the cleaners) are made so much harder by the properties being in such disrepair. Yet they still manage to be so friendly and helpful. They are an absolute joy to see each holiday. I only hope the faces we kno

Stayed here last week and have been staying for years so have seen lots of people own this place come and go some good some bad , had high hopes for new ownership but unfortunately not! The lodges are still tired and a lot of the furniture needs replacing still got old fake leather brown chairs that have been here since my kids used to come , now adults !! They closed for 8 weeks at the beginning of this year so was hoping things would have been refreshed to a high standard but no they haven’t , the windows used to have good quality blinds ,but got replaced with cheap curtains by last owners same with cushions and general furnishings and furniture so really hoped new ownership would of addressed this as the lodges are just furnished with a mish mash of cheap replacements to what was originally done when it was turned into an eco resort but yet the prices are not reflective of this and are now astronomical and keep going up , the restaurant is now worse for food options for vegetarian vegan and gluten free , my husband asked the server what do they have for celiac ( gluten intolerant) and said he himself would have to ask the chef! Really ? Is that not the job of the staff member who was there in the restaurant, so my husband walked out and we never ate there all holiday , the honey you sell is also now less appealing with a tiny label on it that looks cheap compared to how it used to look. But yet the new outdoor spar is the main focus it seems now even though as a paying guest you have to pay to use apart from one free session , and because of this at weekends the over flow car park is packed full of cars who are not paying holiday guests but just visiting the spar or kids play area it’s a car park for the lodges extra paying guests cars ! well come the summer you will have no chance to park , you really need to address this and they were all speeding up and down the track which was dangerous and really noisy at best , why should people who are paying upwards of £5000 a lodge and more in peak season be second thoughts in what this once great holiday park used to be like , guests used to come first but not anymore it seems.

We stayed in the karrack lodge, they provide all cooking utensils, towels, iron, washing & dish washer tablets. Tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar was also provided. Friendly staff who was able to let us check in at 10am after a long drive. The cabin was clean although a few cob webs lurking and the floor boards wasn’t the best.. area in the living room that my son and myself actually tripped where the floor boards was sticking up. Warm, spacious and cozy! Family of 5 here and it suited us perfectly. There was family games provided, beds were comfy! On site restaurant ‘the kitchen’ cannot thank the staff enough, we had over 50 of us in there for Sunday lunch on short notice and the staff/ chefs pulled it all together and provided us with a beautiful meal! The lady (chef) didn’t catch her name.. she is a credit to the park! They put up decorations I provided and served up a birthday cake on top of cooking over 50 meals! Very friendly and nothing was too much for any of them! Super grateful! A few parks for the children & even goats and chickens to see! Indoor pool was nice and clean.. overall a nice stay!

A lovely spot, close to the beach. Mawgan Porth is so pretty. On-Site Restaurant does nice family friendly food. Accommodation described as a luxury lodge, couldn’t really describe as luxury though, no smart TV for kids to watch when it was raining, and it rained a fair bit. Weather was mixed so we used the indoor pool loads, kids loved it, especially the hot chocolates in the bar afterwards and the pets corner (goats and chucks). On-site staff were friendly and helpful. Padstow 20 mins drive and a good day trip out. Overall enjoyed the holiday and would return but would appreciate a bit of investment in the accommodation fir the price

I’ve been coming to beautiful Mawgan porth for 30 years but never stayed locally. We found the Park, its staff and facilities were excellent and will happily be returning later this year. Great food served morning noon and night at the kitchen on site too. The site is well maintained and super clean. You can shop locally (200yds) but there are 2 supermarkets within 15 minutes drive and a great butcher and baker in St Columb Major, also 15 mins away. The local hotel serves great food and a good pint of Guinness with a fanatic view. Another restaurant next door, plus a chippy and wood fired oven pizzas. Pasty’s in the deli/shop too! The only gripe would be the Wi-Fi could be better. As my daughter struggled getting a stable enough connection to use her phones data. I didn’t encounter the same issues as her on the same network provider.

I really want to love the Park but the ‘luxury lodge’ was anything but! We’ve stayed at The Park before in a caravan and it was great but thought we would upgrade to something with outside space. That was our mistake. The furniture was tired, old vinyl sofa and coffee table that needs skipping, tiny TV with only freeview (no Netflix, which in a ‘luxury lodge’ you would expect). Bathroom and kitchen were fine. Outside space was quite small but OK. We did once again enjoy the facilities at The Kitchen, lovely swim followed by breakfast, which really is The Park’s best asset.

Another fantastic year at the park. It was our 51st year of staying here. Absolutely love it got everything we need for the generations of our family who come. We were 18 of us this year and everyone had a good time. Stayed in summer houses and caravans which were good for us with kids. Swimming every morning for children. Wish the outdoor pool was a bit warmer but we tried it. I can't praise it enough and the staff are very friendly. Well recommend it esp if you have children 😉

We popped in for some dinner and the food was absolutely wonderful, the drinks were very good also, we are not staying at the park but have done in the past. The food is exceptional full of flavour and very good size portions! Definitely worth a visit yum yum!

We really enjoyed our recent visit to The Park. Over the fortnight we ate several times in the restaurant, at different times of the day. All food was excellently prepared & presented, and Tracey & Charlie were terrific hosts. The steam room, sauna (politely monitored to ensure over 16s only) and indoor pool were always clean and never overcrowded, so were much appreciated by our family. The biggest surprise was the enclosure of goats, both big & small, which kept us entertained several times. We were always made to feel very welcome, so will definitely be back.
