We also watched numerous people check out while we waited. The 3 pm assignment had nothing to do with the rooms being ready. Rooms are not assigned until 3 pm. By 3 pm there were over 40 people waiting for rooms. Some people decided to go to the mall. Can you imagine 40 people waiting until 3 pm for a bell to ring signaling the rooms are now available. I envisioned a mad rush to get in line for a room. Disgusted I asked for a manager. When I explained to Cecilia that we were waiting since 1130 for a room AND we are HIG members. Cecilia said they have a routine. I asked “isn’t it better to assign rooms as they become available rather than wait until 3 pm to assign all the rooms” She reiterated that they have a routine. So at 3 pm now people are alll lined up to obtain their room assignments. It will take well over an hour to assign the rooms. At 5:30 pm people were still on line to check in. The hotel’s routine is not good for customer satisfaction.
