I took my mother on a vacation of a lifetime in May, and after several days of travel from the western US, we finally arrived at the Sands. We were picked up from the airport and the driver was very nice and got us to the hotel, and once we walked in, we were blown away. The reception area was beautiful and the views spectacular. We were shown our room and it was spacious, and clean with great views out the balcony. As we put our items away a gentleman came to give us a Covid screening. (we laughed because he was wearing a lab coat...) We relaxed by the pool, or played in the water and the staff was always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good, but some things were better than others. It was fun to try new dishes that are not part of the cuisine at home. On our first evening my mother wanted wine, and Rahja was very helpful and found her one. From that evening onward, he came to talk to her each meal and made her feel like the most valued visitor there. They laughed and joked a lot. He found her a few more bottles during our stay as well! He was by far her favorite staff member. Soudesh was of great assistance to us, booking off site adventures for us, and arranging transportation. He also asked the kitchen to make me some of their banana jam to take home, as I loved it so much. We used the spa as well, and my mother got the best massage, and mine was only mediocre. The beach at the Sands is also the best along that shoreline, so it's much easier to walk on than further down as it bites into your feet a bit. What made the Sands so nice is how warm and caring the staff was. They felt like family and they seemed to really care about you and really wishing you to have a great vacation. We stayed on the opposite shore after a trip to Reunion Island, and missed that, and wished we were back at the Sands. If I am able to return to Mauritius, I would definitely pick the Sands for my stay!

Bad Chevk-in routine It is a very modern hotel too bad the staff and the hotel’s policies are not modern. The hotel is isolated in an area away from facilities. You need transportation to get to a small mall or to the beach. The hotel does run a limited shuttle to the mall and beach. We arrived at the hotel from the Mauritius cruise port at 11:30am. At the front desk they said the rooms will not be assigned until 3pm and we should just sit down until 3 pm. Never asked our names. I said we are Holiday Inn members - didn’t matter - rooms will be assigned at 3pm. However a couple we knew arrived at 12:30pm and were given a room immediately. They did not know why. We also watched numerous people check out while we waited. The 3 pm assignment had nothing to do with the rooms being ready. Rooms are not assigned until 3 pm. By 3 pm there were over 40 people waiting for rooms. Some people decided to go to the mall. Can you imagine 40 people waiting until 3 pm for a bell to ring signaling the rooms are now available. I envisioned a mad rush to get in line for a room. Disgusted I asked for a manager. When I explained to Cecilia that we were waiting since 1130 for a room AND we are HIG members. Cecilia said they have a routine. I asked “isn’t it better to assign rooms as they become available rather than wait until 3 pm to assign all the rooms” She reiterated that they have a routine. So at 3 pm now people are alll lined up to obtain their room assignments. It will take well over an hour to assign the rooms. At 5:30 pm people were still on line to check in. The hotel’s routine is not good for customer satisfaction.

The front desk lady is very good! Super enthusiastic! English communication is smooth!
The whole small hotel sparrow is small and complete. There is even a microwave in the room.
Breakfast is inevitable outside, there are small flying insects flying next to it. There is no problem with bathing, but some of the bathroom is wooden floor, which feels a bit strange. At night, there are a lot of geckos on the outdoor walls hahahaha ~
The best thing about this small hotel is the location! A few steps behind the hotel is Blue Bay! And you can also go back to the hotel to take a shower after checking out, very intimate!
Of course, come back early at night, if you come back from the road, it is quite scary to have no lights in the dark.

First of all, the location is very convenient. I was driving by car. I picked up the car at the airport and drove 11 kilometers to the hotel.
The hotel is not large, but the sparrows are small and well-organized. The swimming pool, bar, restaurant and garden are fully equipped. It's just that the room decoration is a bit dated. But the novelty is that the location is quite good, the hotel's private beach area connects to the famous attraction Blue Bay.
My room is on the ground floor. The balcony door opens to the lower level garden. On the side of the steps, there is a swimming pool. On the other side is the cafeteria, where the exterior is the vast sea. While eating breakfast, I saw a foreigner and old couple snorkeling. At noon, I went diving with excitement. Under the sea are corals and colorful Nemos. Extremely excited.
Tip: Be sure to apply sunscreen! Important things to say three times! I was too excited and thought it would be okay for a while. I forgot to apply sunscreen on my back. Tanning is small and sunburn is big!
I read other people's reviews before and said that the food was average, but I used his buffet dinner, which is very suitable for my taste. Better than the buffet I used to eat at a hotel in Sri Lanka.
The hotel really has few Asian faces.

The most cost-effective hotel I have been to Hilton during the Spring Festival. Shangri-La and other hotels. Although it is much more luxurious than this, this hotel is located in the Blue Bay beach and has a private island like Shangri-La. It is the best place for the entire Mauritius coral to see the smallest fish. It can be said that building a mid-range hotel here is simply a waste.

The location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms.

Originally, I arrived at Maoqiu at 3 in the afternoon, but the plane was delayed 7 hours due to the weather. I took a taxi to the hotel for about 50 minutes and only arrived at the hotel at 11 in the evening. The landlord and the guy in charge of the reception have been waiting. kind. The hotel is generally clean and quiet. Breakfast is not bad, dinner is charged, 175 local rupees, not very expensive. The place is far away from the city. The next day I was going to buy a phone card. I didn't know the road. The young man in charge of the reception was about to go to school, so he took me there and talked all the way. Responsible for cleaning. The aunts who cook are very good. I want to make Kung Fu tea, but there is no boiling water. They put me a few bottles of boiling water in a thermos bottle, and they will bring it to me every day. The laundry is also very fast. I went out at noon and asked them to wash the clothes. When I came back in the afternoon, I saw neatly folded clothes. They were also cheap. Unlike the next hotel, the laundry was available 24 hours a day, and the charges were all based on the piece. The landlord is also very good, sometimes he will call a car for me when I go out, and I will chat with him every day when I have time.

The beach of Mao Ball really doesn't want to hold too high expectations. This is the third home in Mao Ball. The service and the first two are really incomparable, because the former one lived in a bubble and served too much. There is no comparison here, you can only say that the price is OK, after all, this price is cheaper in the hair ball. To praise the bath water here, because the bubble is open air, so the bath water is cold at night, no matter where the bath water is good in the morning and evening, it is close to the SUPER U flacq shop. Go to the hair ball and try to avoid Sunday. We had 2 weeks of this trip, which was wasted. The public holiday supermarket of Zhoumao Maoshu was closed, the hotel was closed, and the project did not have to play.

Beautiful hotel with disappointing poor level of service. We have visited several O&O resorts before (Maldives, etc), so we were expecting something different. The rooms are big and very well planned, you have a view either to the seaside or to lagoon side. The cleaning service is not so good: some towels very missing nearly everyday, the sheets were not changed for 4 days-until we called reception asking to change it. Beach is long and nice, but the entrance to the sea is full of stones & corals that really hurt your feet. I don’t understand why they were not cleaned away at least in some areas. Beach bar service is very-very slow: you can wait for menu or your order for ages, many times we were going to the bar to order as no one will come to see us. Also it’s not nice to have a lot of local traders at the hotel beach, that pay local management to have access to the beach & be able to sell jewellery, shells & fake Dior & LV goods. The DJ at the beach & sunset & disco was super cool - enjoyed his music a lot! Sunset at the beach is spectacular!-do not miss it. Breakfast is very good: fantastic choice of food & very tasty. La Point restaurant at the beach is also good for lunch: fast service, good food. Tapasaki is an Asian a La carte - highly recommended for dinner. La Terrasse has great choice of food for buffet dinner. The other restaurants have serious service problems: very long waiting time just to get a menu and/or place an order. We were waiting for sommelier in Prime restaurant for 30 minutes-just to order the wine. Lunch at Badamier is also a disaster-you will spend at least 2 hours to get served & eat. Concierge service is terrible: you can get a reply to your whatsup after 4-5h, we also gave up queuing for the 1 concierge on duty after 30 mins of waiting in the line. It’s totally unacceptable for O&O. Overall the hotel did not meet our expectations of O&O resort, it’s very disappointing.
Unwind Rewind And let it all go in this 5 stars ode to Mauritian radiance Enjoy its championship golf courses enveloped by nature whether a golfer or not Food and wine lovers will find their
heaven in the 7 restaurants and 6 bars Do absolutely nothing Or everything Your choice at every turn Whatever your idea of perfection this chic tropical resort caters to you

This is a hotel where you can meet Chinese tourists, but there are very few Chinese people. First of all, the junior suite has a double bed and a double sofa bed, which can accommodate a family of four, but another child under 16 years old has to pay an additional 80 euros per day without an extra bed, including breakfast. The guy at the front desk of the hotel was very enthusiastic and courteous, and the other service staff were also very enthusiastic. Breakfast is very bad for Chinese people. It is not suitable for Chinese people than Intercontinental. Dinner is just okay and relatively rich. However, I only had dinner once in the hotel. The hotel has all the facilities that a resort should have. There are many swimming pools, but there is no exclusive swimming pool for children. The hotel beach has very white sand, which is obviously much better than the hotel beaches in the north.

VvThe Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius.
The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner.
The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs.
The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊.
Overall a true five star ⭐️ hotel that delivers an exceptional experience to its guests.
Well done Oberoi Team⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
GGuest UserVery satisfied. After entering the gate and parking the car, a hotel car picked us up and took us to the front desk to check in. The environment is very good, the infinity pool is next to the beach. The room fulfilled all my fantasies about a resort hotel. I really want to stay here for a longer time. If anything happens, the waiter can be contacted at any time via WhatsApp. The most grateful thing is that we misjudged the flight time and the waiter pointed it out. This prevented us from arriving at the airport very early and allowed us to stay in the hotel for a longer time.
WWEIThis time I stayed at the two hotels of Lishi Mona and Lishi Mei'an. The style is still quite different. The sand of Mona is yellowish and very slightly. The sand on the Mei'an is slightly whiter and thinner. Be careful. The walk is still acceptable; the rooms are larger and more modern; the sea view is better for Mount Mona. Sitting in the seaside is very eye-catching. After a day, the hotel is too lazy to move. If you are chasing dolphins, it is also near the Mount Mona. The pool and meals are not as good as the US shore.
Tty34Overall, it is a very good hotel. The suite has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. It is no problem for a family of four, and there is no additional charge for 2 children under 16 years old in this room type, including breakfast, but breakfast is not included. It's too suitable for East Asian tastes. Dinner is a little better, just a little bit. We lost a child's schoolbag at the airport in Mauritius, and there were valuables inside. We thought we couldn't find it, but the Intercontinental front desk guy helped us contact the airport police station, and the schoolbag was recovered, which was very NICE. It was a bit unpleasant to check out later. More than a thousand euros were deducted from me. After negotiation, it was refunded to my account after returning to China. Overall, it was perfect. Ctrip officials were also very helpful!
A small boutique hotel, it might be unnoticeable from the outside, the inside containing 36 rooms with its delightful peacefulness & tranquility in lush tropical gardens. You are made so welcome from all the staff, some have become good friends. We stayed in room 34 for 12 nights, arriving on Monday 9th September. The staff are always so friendly yet professional. Special mention to Oumesh (room Divisional manager), who always greeted us, we spoke on numerous occasions. The concierge team- Micheal, friendly yet professional, gave us great knowledge on the local area & when asked suggested local speciality restaurants. Isaaq, again so friendly & helpful, he would always acknowledge us on seeing us. Also thank you to Jessica & Francesca for all their help. Food & beverage - Lamal, competent, efficient & experienced, knowing our food preferences & allergies, very professional at his job. The restaurant- food is excellent, plates are served with ”Flair”, tasting as good as they look. Special mention to the Patisserie chef, your deserts & afternoon tea gateaux's were the high-light of the kitchen in my opinion. (after tea served daily 4.00 - 5.00pm). Denis, always with a smile & cheerful attitude, made us laugh so much, whilst doing his daily tasks with skill & expertise. Make sure you book in advance the evening Gourmet cruise on Lady Lisbeth Yacht, with exceptional 5-6 course dishes, expertly served at your table by Denis our waiter. If you have a special occasion, Birthday, Anniversary or just a great evening, please note there is only availability for up to 8 persons per cruise, booking is a must. Also special thanks to Lindley Thomen, who took special interest in making our holiday so special, your kindness & great customer service. Nearly forgot Trevor your Water-taxi driver, so thoughtful, helpful & kind, always made our many trips to & forth to Grand Baie so memorable. Would certainly recommend without hesitation this wonderful hotel. Thank you for a Great Holiday. Keith & Partner.
TTudoudouVery satisfied! A very favorite hotel! Excellent value for money.
Facilities: A hotel designed by a French designer under the Lux Group. The facilities are very good, small and exquisite. Every corner is full of art and there are surprises everywhere. It's not the high-end facilities that you would expect from a high-end luxury hotel. This place is for adults only. The design concept and facilities are very suitable for non-parents and children. Comfort + personality + eye-catching + leisure + entertainment.
Hygiene: Everywhere in the hotel is clean, no matter the public areas or rooms, the beach will be cleaned throughout the day (except at night)
The design concept follows the principle of protecting nature. There are no plastic products. I brought my own garbage bags.
Environment: The hotel as a whole is a work of art. Mediterranean-style colors: blue + orange + lemon yellow + black and white *****es, plus the white sand of the beach + mint-colored sea water
Is there anything more intoxicating than this color scheme? ? ? Taking pictures is absolutely beautiful, especially when the sun is shining (it looks good on cloudy days too, but the sun can better interpret the charm of paradise)
Service: Most of them are very satisfied. There was a small incident but the manager helped solve it, and the result is still good! I'm very happy to have met such an honest manager, who lived up to my trust in booking 5 houses at once! My husband and I booked a total of 5 rooms for our family.
There is a shop here that sells all the hotel's own things. The clothing and jewelry are all very beautiful. I bought a lot of them, some of them are unique items, which should make you unique. This is the story that happened here, you can see the picture I posted (I was really too lazy to write it repeatedly on several platforms, so I took a screenshot of the comment on another app for booking houses. Anyway, I wrote it myself)
Breakfast: Very special, unlimited, but you need to order it yourself. The freshly made bread has many flavors and is very fragrant. We checked in on New Year's Eve, and the Chinese holiday breakfast was specially prepared for us the next day, including porridge and preserved eggs, which was a surprise. . .
If you like taking pictures, don’t miss this hotel!

GGuest UserAnantara is a very beautiful resort. Decor is top notch and comfortable. The staff provides excellent service and assistance is always available. The resort is a beach front property with a lot of activities. This property is amazing and you won’t go wrong by choosing it. Yusef , Cintia, Karim, Sharonne, Paul, and many more of the staff ( I’m bad with names) , will attend to all your needs.

TThe Travel BugAn exceptional stay at the resort, with 5 star treatment by all of the hotel staff.
All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families.
The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate!
Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained. Kevin and his team will be sure that you leave with the biggest smile on your face after each meal!
Well done team!
LLINGFree parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. There are many schools of fish not far from snorkeling, and basic water sports facilities are free of charge. The staff is very friendly, the environment in the yard is beautiful and quiet, it is much better than the salt selection we stayed behind, it is worth recommending ~
