Hotels Near La Cambuse Beach in Mauritius

It was already 8 o'clock in the evening when I arrived in Mauritius. After I finished the formalities, I could see the shuttle at the airport. It took about 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel was clean and soundproof. We were the second. Tianbao had a day trip and walked very early without experiencing the hotel's breakfast and other facilities. It is a good airport transition option.

We stayed in the Moringa Lodge for two nights as part of a two week holiday. The bubbles are absolutely brilliant - the setting is beautiful (in the forest overlooking a lake), they're really well set up with a comfy bed, robes, tea & coffee, AC and they gave us a bottle of bubbles on arrival. We particularly liked the (private) outdoor shower. The ability to see stars and the moon from the bed is something really special, as is the resort itself - it truly is a beautiful place and the animals wandering about just add to the feeling of being somewhere special. It was great to visit the tea factory and do the tea tasting but I’m not sure I’d recommend it without the stay - it was fairly simple. As other reviewers have said, the dinner set up is a bit odd. The food was nice enough but we didn't love eating in a mostly empty restaurant - it didn't feel super relaxing. For breakfast, I felt they could have explained the options a bit better - I had a totally different breakfast experience on the second morning with a different member of staff who offered me a variety of things vs the first day. The other - and bigger - issue for me was that there were so many mosquitos. I know the resort can't help this but if you're someone who gets bitten easily I'd think twice about staying here. It just meant I couldn't sit outside on the deck to relax as I got so badly bitten the first afternoon. Perhaps the hotel could provide bug spray in the room which would help. This could have just been the time of year we visited (December) but it wasn't rainy season (yet).

Originally, I arrived at Maoqiu at 3 in the afternoon, but the plane was delayed 7 hours due to the weather. I took a taxi to the hotel for about 50 minutes and only arrived at the hotel at 11 in the evening. The landlord and the guy in charge of the reception have been waiting. kind. When I came back in the afternoon, I saw neatly folded clothes. They were also cheap. Unlike the next hotel, the laundry was available 24 hours a day, and the charges were all based on the piece. The landlord is also very good, sometimes he will call a car for me when I go out, and I will chat with him every day when I have time.

I chose the four seasons because I believe that the four seasons are consistently high quality, very good environment and location, the staff take care of my feelings, except for one, I will elaborate below. Free parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. The beaches of Long Beach are not bad. Although it is a little worse than the Maldives, there are still plenty of places to play with the fur ball. This was our third visit to Mauritius and to this beautiful resort, the location and the views are spectacular, having visited a few all inclusive resorts in other parts of the world, this is by far the prettiest, with spacious public areas tastefully decorated.There are numerous staff that attend to all of your needs they genuinely want your stay to be memorable and are friendly and attentive, we stayed for 10 nights and were able to make friends with a number of the Belle Mare Plage team The breakfast buffet is expansive and you may help yourself to as much or as little as you wish, we were very well looked after each morning by Nisha, and Ranooka, who makes delicious omelettes, and I must mention Chef Satish who is a true legend of La Citronelle Indigo was a great place for lunch with an extensive menu to choose from and quality food, the restaurant is well managed by Sam with most friendly and attentive staff particularly Seetul and Akash who provided our chilled and perfectly mixed cocktails The resort main bar is large and comfortable, open all day, with a varied entertainment programme provided each evening, snacks are provided free with your drinks, which was a nice addition. The bar is expertly managed by Vijay and his attentive team, Pascal, Rahul, Rishi, Nikash, Adrien, Fabian, Ayush, Akash, Tanveer, Josh, Lucca, Cedlay, Mevin, Nishal, Yori, Noam, Liroy We stayed in a junior suite, large area, great bathroom and separate shower, very large bed and luxurious linens changed twice each day and our housekeeper Kavita took very good care of us during our stay. We were on the ground floor that allowed us dual entry to the room both from the front and from the patio area, which was spacious and very comfortable, and we could walk directly to the beach, which is of the finest sand . This time I stayed at the two hotels of Lishi Mona and Lishi Mei'an. The style is still quite different. The sand of Mona is yellowish and very slightly. The sand on the Mei'an is slightly whiter and thinner. Be careful. The walk is still acceptable; the rooms are larger and more modern; the sea view is better for Mount Mona. Sitting in the seaside is very eye-catching. After a day, the hotel is too lazy to move. If you are chasing dolphins, it is also near the Mount Mona. The pool and meals are not as good as the US shore.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

The location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms.
