Stayed here on Honeymoon. Overall it's very positive. The rooms were lovely, the pool is decent and the staff (for the most part) are very professional. The spa also is amazing and I may have got a bit addicted to that during the 10 night stay. What takes my rating down to a 4 rather than a 5 is as follows: - The all inclusive not starting until 2pm on the day you get there and stopping promptly at 12 on the day you leave. For UK guests, this is a bit of a pain as the direct flight from London gets there very early in the morning and doesn't leave until nearly 10pm so you find yourself just kind of sitting around. I find it hard to believe that letting you have a few soft drinks during that time would bankrupt them. - The choice of food. Don't get me wrong, what there is is lovely and flavorful and ultimately they do as much with the 'buffet room' as they possibly can. That said, after 10 nights, it gets a bit repetitive. - Some of the staff, particularly management. I'm not sure there's anywhere that most people would consider it acceptable to berate staff in front of customers, especially when those customers are waiting for a drink. That's what happened one night in the Dodo Bar and it left a bit of a sour taste. Some of the reviews I've read talk about stray dogs and cats but can't say as I noticed this as a problem. Think I saw a total of 2 dogs and 1 cat in 11 days. The little ginger cat quite likes begging for food at breakfast but he doesn't cause a problem. Also, a lot gets made of the evening entertainment. It certainly isn't Broadway or the West End but considering they are trying to entertain people from a mix of countries, it was pretty good.

Some recent reports are totally misleading it's a great place. Our room overlooked the bay and pool. Our room wash huge clean and well presented. The bathroom and large. The food was great and always very tasty. All the staff are very professional and very friendly. The entertainment was good. And the ground are beautiful and full of interesting birds and dragonflies.

Firstly, we had two lovely weeks in Mauritius and met some fantastic people at the Jalsa Beach hotel. Every member of staff were a delight and went beyond the call of duty to assist and help in anyway they could. It’s obvious that all members work very hard and they could do with a bit more help from the managers above. I must add that two members of staff that helped enormously during our stay and this should be highlighted. My room maid Pallavi and Shahana - in the restaurant - both are excellent at their jobs but also very good people and added to our time on holiday. I would like to put it on record to say thank you to both. The hotel itself is a different story as the facilities do require a major upgrade. From the pool to the gym the building infrastructure has not been kept to the required standards that you would expect from a 4 star hotel - as stated in the brochure.

It was our honey moon, we actually traveled in 2021 but couldn't go as far back... The hotel was definitely not a 4 stars. Staff very friendly and manager tried to do his best however the hotel was just disappointing. We booked 14 nights and we just couldn't bear it... After 3 night we started to look elsewhere and we booked an amazing hotel c Mauritius which but unfortunately we had to pay on top of what we already paid extra 3000. The rates are different for Mauritius people and for someone from England. Food not good Rooms basic Beach ok The attraction corner excellent Staff very polite Unfortunately we didn't enjoy jalsa beach. When we were there there was a chain across a pool.... Lesson learnt not to book any other hotels with less than 5 stars. The hotel isn't 4 stars hotel no way... At the end we enjoyed our honeymoon

Again, we had the most amazing time there. This was our second time choosing Jalsa Beach, and the staff and management treat John and I like family. Chef Max came out every evening to tell me what I can eat and can’t eat as I’m Coeliac. They even made me my own bread and gave me the recipe to make back home. The restaurant manager was again fantastic and really took care of us. Also had the best massage there. Jalsa beach is definitely the Hotel we will be using again when we go back in two years. We treated like family and Mauritius and Jalsa beach have my heart ❤️ thank you Jalsa Beach AGAIN for another amazing stay and holiday.

In the midst of recounting my harrowing experience at Jalsa Beach Resort, a new chapter of disappoin**ent unfolded that I cannot overlook. Despite the allure of an all-inclusive package, the resort managed to shatter any remaining semblance of guest satisfaction with their callous trea**ent. In a distressing moment of urgency, my son found himself in need of water to combat dehydration around noon. However, the timing proved to be a cruel obstacle, as the pool bar had closed at 12, and the main restaurant remained shuttered until 12:30. My pleas for assistance fell on deaf ears, as I was callously denied access to place an order until the designated time. This heartless enforcement of policy left us stranded, highlighting a blatant disregard for basic human needs. Fueled by frustration, I sought out the manager, in hopes of addressing this egregious lack of empathy and common sense. To my dismay, his response was nothing short of a cold dismissal, his words dripping with arrogance as he callously defended the unacceptable delay. When I attempted to file a written complaint, Mr. Manager's demeanor turned hostile, arrogantly brushing off my concerns with the audacious claim that any complaint would inevitably land on his desk, implying that he held absolute power over the resolution process. This encounter with Mr. Manager served as a stark revelation of the rot that had permeated the core of Jalsa Beach Resort's management. His dismissive attitude and disdain for guest welfare laid bare the stark reality that under his leadership, customer service was a mere facade, a hollow promise destined to disappoint. The shadow cast by Mr. Manager demeanor loomed large over the entire resort, tarnishing any hope of salvaging a positive experience. With such a leader at the helm, it became painfully clear that the seeds of dissatisfaction had been sown deep within the establishment, poisoning every interaction and eroding any semblance of hospitality. In conclusion, my stay at Jalsa Beach Resort was marred not only by the inadequacies of the facilities and staff but by the toxic culture perpetuated by Mr. Manager himself. This encounter stands as a testament to the depths of mismanagement and disregard for guest well-being that plague the resort. It is with a heavy heart and a sense of disillusionment that I declare Jalsa Beach Resort, under the reign of Mr. Manager, as a cautionary tale of customer service gone awry, a cautionary tale that I urge all to heed and avoid at all costs.

We read lots of mixed reviews on here about this hotel before we booked but were very pleasantly surprised. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and if you have any problem at all you only have to speak to them and they sort it out for you straight away. The rooms are lovely and clean, room towels changed every day. Clean pool towel every day too. Great choice of drinks at the bar and lovely snacks around the pool in the afternoon. The hotel grounds are amazingly well kept, it was just beautiful. The food was excellent, great choice for the size of the hotel. If you have any special dietary needs the hotel are more than happy to cater for you. We would definitely come back, we loved our time here.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We booked this hotel only about 6 weeks ago with our friend who was newly widowed. The staff quickly remembered us and our usual drink requests both at the bar and in the restaurant, which makes you feel a little special. Our friend was unwell one day and left a do not disturb on her door. Later that evening they sent her some fruit and bread/biscuits down and checked up on her. The food was really good, not a huge selection but that is a good thing in order to make your decision making easier. Absolutely lovely staff, from the bedroom maids, to the manager and everyone in between. Room was a great size, walk in shower and clean towels every day. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and great value for money. You are not paying Sandalls prices so don’t expect that service!!
