Bel Azur Beach Residence with Lov

Great place, but no cleaning products or clothes to clean. No light for swimming pool. 90% of things work but not all. Still loved it.

It is a very calm and relaxing area to stay. The location is ideal, 10-20 minutes by car from the bustling areas of Mont Choisy and Grand Baie. The living space and the kitchen are very clean and spacious and there is a large balcony with amazing views of the sea and the pool. The bedrooms are also clean and spacious, with very comfy beds. The bathroom was the only negative point of this accomodation. The glass panel of the bath was not adapted for its size and the shower head was not fixed properly resulting in water flooding the entire bathroom, no matter how careful we were. The shower in the second bedroom had too much grout on the tiles. Some of the towels were also slightly stained. No shampoo provided and only a very small amount of body lotion provided with was not ideal. There are ample parking outsite, lots of pool chairs and umbrellas and pool itself is fabulous even if it not the biggest. The check in process needs to be reviewed as it is very confusing, we were only given a code for a lockbox but could not find anything onsite and we were not given our room number beforehand. Luckily we had someone local with us with a Mauritian Sim card to call someone. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again in the future if some changes in the bathrooms are made and the checkin process reviewed.

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place, it's the booking you need to go for. The rooms are modern and beautiful. Even the pool is a common one but the size is good enough. You have also a superb beach view and sunset. The surrondings is very green and cosy.

The problem with this property is each apartment and villa has different owners and so you are dependent on the owner investing in the property. We had villa 2 which is not shown in any of the official photos (only villa 1). Our vill was very tired and not very clean even tough cleaners came everyday. My wife washed the bed linen as there was marks on it. The corners and edges of the room we dirty and dusty. The seemed to only clean what they could see, for example the propped open the bedroom door when cleaning which meant that they never cleaned the back of the door. The owners need to invest some money as the settees and outside seating were all marked and old and as there were a litter of cats that slept on them overnight we didnt fancy sitting on them anyway. We assumed the pool didnt have a filter, and leaves and dirt would blow into it... a pool man cam everyday but we only realised there was a filter when he switched it on the day before leaving! Access to the beach was difficult as the steps didnt reach all the way down so you had to jump which is not ideal if you are physically impaired. This property is not at Trou aux Biches which is 25 mins walk or car/taxi ride away.
