The hotel has no equipped parking. You will have to leave your car on the side of the road.
There is no beach as such.
There is a breakwater with steps. But when swimming from it you can step on a sea urchin. Also, sometimes you can feel the current from the waves and this creates an additional level of discomfort when swimming.
A very interesting place for snorkeling, but the nif is not alive and they are only trying to restore it.

We stayed for 5 nights with 4 kids. Overall the guesthouse is ok, but probably not well suited to young families. Pros- We had a lovely spacious apartment with a beautiful view Staff helpfully organised dinner to be ready for us after our late arrival The spot cafe is nice Breakfast was good but the breads and pasties got progressively more stale each day. Cons- Dogs allowed to wonder through the reception and into the kitchen Extremely windy Service was ok, but the reception was often unattended As above, breakfast items were stale The location isn't great for young families because the beach isn't great for swimming- very windy and boats going by.

A mixed experience with this guest house. First, it is a prime location with it private beach. I would strongly recommend to pay the extra to have a beach front bedroom, as all the others are on the other side of the road and very inconvenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good, especially their crepes and taken in the room overlooking the lagoon. The downside is the owners of Chautauvent do not maintain their place, and it's very old, poorly maintained with bugs. Old furniture, not really clean because it is understaffed and the only brave ones can only do what they can. Do not count on the snorkelling gear, they are half broken and others in poor condition. However they have 4 canoes, 2 of them for 2 people which are good to go explore the lagoon and watch the fish and magnificent corals just meters away from the hotel. Plenty of air traffic right above the hotel, so in the evening, until last flight, it can be noisy, other than that the guest house is very calm. Advantage is when you are on a connection flight, you are only 10 minutes away from the airport. It has its own very small restaurant, and you need to book to get a spot, otherwise there is 2 other restaurants a few minutes away, and also you can dine at the 4-star hotel next to the guest house and enjoy their night entertainment.

Blue Bay is a lovely sheltered bay. Our accommodation in a room over the road from the main building was comfortable although we were supplied with only 1 small bottle of drinkable water during our entire 3 day stay; after our flight, we were very dehydrated and I think at least 1 larger bottle/day would have been preferable. Breakfast was included with our accommodation but this consisted of some watermelon occasionally supplemented by pineapple or (rarely) pawpaw, plus a small selection of cereal and pastries.

We were there for my little niece 07th Birthday on Wednesday 22th January for a day use with my family.The place itself is so cosy and welcoming.Well located. A special Thanks to AURELIE for the WONDERFUL welcoming. MRS Vanida Mrs Anick for being so friendly and caring during the day. Special thanks to the chef for preparing such amazing meals. Quality and Quantity of the food was EXCELLENT and so TASTY.We had a nice day and we will be back for sure. THANKS TO THE TEAM FOR THE NICE DAY.
