Radisson Blu Azuri Resort and Spa, Mauritius

The hotel services are nothing great, esp the housekeeping. The evening turndown services were not performed despite 2-3 reminders. The towels were not replenished in the morning and neither were tea and toilet essentials. No proper reason for the above were offered despite complaining to the duty manager, except an assurance that the same will be closely.monitored for my rest of the stay. I am still staying and will update how it goes for the rest of the stay. A day earlier, I was surprised to see. Uncleaned spoons in my tea area and I asked to be spoken with the housekeeping supervisor. Is it a fallout of the same, I really got no answers. Even at breakfast, I was surprised that when we asked for 2 bananas, we were offered only one saying it is only one that can be given. Ofcourse some PPL in breakfast Buffett were extremely nice and helpful.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at Radisson Blu hotel, the food is excellent, the staff are so friendly & helpfull, nothing is too much trouble, they go above & beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable, would definitely recommend a relaxing holiday here. My only negative would be to put smokers in the same area, we requested a non smoking room (which we got) not realising next door were smokers which from the balconies we could smell. Fortunately we didn't need to stay on our balcony only 1 afternoon when it rained.

Honestly the best trip ever! From start to finish the team made us feel so welcome, especially Kajal who dealt with us from the start. She ensured we had the best experience and nothing was too much… she arranged a beautiful trip for us to Trou deau douce to see the 5 islands - which was honestly such a special day, from monkeys to a bbq on the beach it was amazing. My mum even rang the hotel one day worrying about me and my boyfriend as we didn’t answer her texts & Kajal let us know straight away and was so lovely. The room was fantastic & recently updated so super modern - would 100% recommend beach front villa as it has everything you need and feels super luxury! Kavina who cleaned the rooms was very lovely and remembered my name which was sweet. Black Rock was our favourite for food out of the restaurants on offer & the buffet indian night was also really lovely - we went back for more & more & more until we could burst haha! We rented a car so could easily visit the south, it is a bit of a drive so but would absolutely recommend this as it made the trip feel like an adventure - Le Morne is beautiful!! And if you can do a seaplane too would recommend. If not, there is plenty to do near the hotel & the staff will recommend trips etc. including visiting the sister hotel which is also lovely! Overall a great stay, with the highlight of the hotel honestly being such a warm welcome from Kajal. We really hope this isn’t our last time visiting the island & the Radisson. We have made such special memories in Mauritius & thank you so much!

After reading multiple reviews we thought everything would be top notch, in reality the hotel falls short – it completely depends on your expectations. Our experience was a real mixed bag, so I’ve attempted to detail all events factually, to decide whether this is the right destination for you. – Location The hotel is located on the windy side of the island. We expected there to be a strong breeze, but at times it was more like 30mph, so you would like a light sandblasting if on the beach – unsurprisingly no one uses the sun beds there. – Activities The hotel includes a good programme - walks, cycling, caves etc - all included. They’re short but enjoyable. You’ll need some local change to bring you back on the local bus. There’s a range of watersports kits - it’s all beginner style, so don’t expect harnesses etc for windsurfing. The beach team were not keen to let you out due to the wind. Also there’s a good amount of rocks around, so at low tide you really need to be careful. There’s one main large pool sectioned into three. At most times there are children playing in it, so was difficult to swim lengths. The main fitness pool closed for renovations, that’s behind the gym – this was a real let down. The pool area has towels left out overnight on beds or guests getting up at 5.30am, so all taken by 6am. If this is what you’re looking for, you’ll need to be early as the hotel staff don’t clear off towels after the stated 1 hour of none use. – Standard garden room Is a good size, including a Childs folding bed. There is a strange two level design, so in the night you just need to be careful is visiting the bathroom. Cleaning was ok, but the floors not mopped, so by the end of the stay looked like it needed a good clean and we ensured to leave our shoes outside. On a couple of occasions they forgot to replace the water and towels. Don’t expect flowers on pillows etc like some other more luxury resorts. Unfortunately my daughter’s necklace, which was in a small bag was thrown away by the cleaners. There was no apology, nor was it replaced. It was unfortunate but could have been handled better. We found most staff to be pleasant, possibly not as attentive as other resorts. - Food and drinks Beach bar If you’re looking for relatively poor drinks you’ve come to the right place. Cocktails are made without jigs or real care, so two can be very different. They’re all very sweet (so ask to leave the sugar syrup out) and quite weak – we suspect the local spirits are low volume and quality. If you’re after drinking any kind of booze all day you’ll enjoy it. If you’re looking for a couple of decent cocktails, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Plastic cups weren’t collected from the beach – personally we returned ours, but it wasn’t great to see some left there for days. Le Comptoir buffet - good selection, friendly chefs to speak to. We had a great time in the resort. Everything is well planned and arranged. This is a great family friendly place with plenty of things to do and explore. The food was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful towards answering questions and booking services. Thank you
