Family-friendly Hotels in Mauritius

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was beautifully placed on the east coast of the island. Great views of the beach. But the truly outstanding thing about this place were the staff. Undoubtedly the heart and soul of the place. I definitely recommend anyone going to Mauritius to have a stay at this hotel. A very special thank you to Rishi & the team. The hotel environment is very good. The reservation on Ctrip includes breakfast and dinner, and the hotel stay has a consumption of 100 US dollars, which is very cost-effective. There are four restaurants in the hotel. I personally recommend the Asian restaurant (Pictures 2 and 3 are Indian restaurants), fried noodles, pizza, fish and rice, all of which are delicious. However, the most popular place to eat is the buffet restaurant. Although it is not delicious, there are many choices, mainly fruits. The waiter at the seafood restaurant was very unfriendly. Because I didn't speak English well when I ordered, I was laughed at by the black waiter, which was very rude. The hotel can pay attention to this.

An exceptional stay at the resort, with 5 star treatment by all of the hotel staff. All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families. The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate! Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained. This time I came to Mauritius to stay in two hotels, this one feels more cost-effective. The room is larger and the service is better than the strict selection. You can scan WeChat and Chinese service. It will introduce the free and paid activities of the hotel in detail. It is very rich. The hotel also has a golf course and a castle restaurant, which can be visited by a battery car at the front desk. I gave a lady a hat and two bowls of instant noodles in each room. The disadvantage is that there are not many varieties of breakfast and the taste is not good enough, which is incomparable with the strict selection. The Italian restaurant at dinner was ok, the beach bar was lively and there were band performances, but nothing delicious except fruit.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

The atmosphere of the hotel is very good, warm and warm and many guests. But the room was really old, the door was painted on a wooden board, and the door card was demagnetized every day. The parking lot is too small, only stop at the road every time, the overall facilities are old, the breakfast is very good

An old five-star hotel with a good environment, good service, and low consumption. The food in the restaurant is good, but the Asian restaurant is just average for us Asians. The floating restaurant is very unique. I booked a private dinner during my three-night stay. The experience was very good and the food was satisfactory. The Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius. The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner. The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs. The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊.
