The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding.
The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat.
They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended.

A delightful chateau in the heart of Maulevrier. The larger rooms look out over the Oriental gardens which are a pleasant visit. You can also visit the hotels kitchen garden. The hotel is not super deluxe but it is very comfortable. The dinner was excellent value fine food at bistro prices in quite grand surroundings. Breakfast is served in a separate room from the restaurant and is adequate. Helpful staff and all in all excellent value

We stayed in a Chateau again ! Lovely hotel, our second stay, this time we stayed in a 'charming room' with fabulous views over the garden and countryside, great service, both at the front desk, and at breakfast. would love to return in the future

Réservation faite début août et validée 2 jours après. Celle-ci vient d'être annulée (22 septembre), 4 jours avant notre venue pour le prétexte d'une privatisation du restaurant ( pas de bol on était QUE 5) et d'un soi-disant "Bug" du site de réservation. Il n'y aura pas d'autre réservation car plus confiance !
