However in this case, I had to go to the reception desk for them to make copies of our passport and issue a card (to be used at the check-in machine). Thereafter I have to walk to the machine and insert the card, press a bunch of buttons to be issued the room and room key. So from a customer perspective I’m actually troubled twice, because I need to make 2 stops before actually getting my room. So what’s the point of this check-in machine? It was crowded, but I was able to take a lot of salad and it was a good experience (in the city of night, there are not many choices of meals, the station and downtown are smelly of cigarettes and can't stay long) I couldn't eat it.
