It's literally at Kappabashi, dinner was fine dining (really amazing) , and breakfast was amazing. Heater in the rooms took a bit to get use to , but they were super proper and everything was almost perfect. Highly recommended

The most beautiful in Kamikochi It's right in front of Kappa Bridge. The disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning, but it probably won't be turned on in the winter. As for the heater, it's not that hot.

Did they let a Chinese person register because my name was in Roman letters? I was confused because I had no idea what they were talking about. The main dish at the restaurant dinner was not delicious. The breakfast was very delicious and the service was also good. The view is without a doubt the best hotel, and if you're going to stay in a front room, I think it's better not to stay in a back room, even if it's cheaper.

The view from the room was amazing. I was able to spend a wonderful time hanging a hammock on the balcony surrounded by the Hotaka Mountain Range and the Azusa River, and it was truly a life-changing experience. The food was also very nice and delicious. All of the staff, including the person who took care of the delivery, were very nice. thank you very much!

The hotel with a good location, the French cuisine for dinner gave us a little surprise, a very good experience, and also saw the snow scene, which is great. The only regret is that the checkout clearly states that you can pay by Alipay. When you ordered afternoon tea, you were told that it was not possible. As such a hotel, this small regret is still uncomfortable. There is also the place where the soup is still closed. It is too mini, but fortunately, I went to the hotel. The room can see the mountains and rivers, and I am very satisfied.

I made a reservation when I went to Kamikochi for the first time this time. I used it by relying on word of mouth, but it is a hotel with high satisfaction in terms of location, service and cleanliness of the room. Most of the guests were only two or more guests, and I couldn't find a single guest, but I was able to spend a relaxing time and all the staff were kind and comfortable.

Great location. Right in the middle of Kamikochi. Convenient for 1-2 nights stay to experience all of Kamikochi. The food was excellent, given the remote location of the hotel from the city. Rooms are recently renovated. Recommend getting the room with the river view.

Nice hotel, very nice dinner. One think to be improved: communication with the hotel took long time, they insert your messages only after a few days…

Came here in the summer of 2023. Stayed here 2 nights for hiking. Located just after the Kappabashi bridge as you come from the bus terminal and this hotel lies 1/2 way between Taisho pond and the Myojin pond/ Hotaka shrine. About the hotel, its has minimalist deco with a plenty of blond wood. No art work on walls. Bed is comfy. My room 307 was facing the back and there wasn’t much of a view, but thats ok bcos we were out walking most of the time. Had the windows opened for fresh air at night Breakfast buffet is good but minimal variety. Closes by 9am so late sleepers beware!Most tourists were local and almost all were in Q to get in when the breakfast opened at 6.45 am! Took the dinner too. Dinner is good. Fusion Japanese. Not buffet. Small portion. Btw if you dont take dinner here, there’s hardly anywhere else to eat at night. By 6pm most tourists who are day-trippers, would have left and all the shops will close. Remember to do all your purchases and dinning before 5pm! This hotel disappointingly has no onsen but a public bath instead. A small sad pool. I didnt bother There are about 6 hotels in this valley and only certain approved vehicles and tourist buses can drive in. The bus station is across the river, about 600m form this hotel (See map) and the track to the hotel is a long gravel road… I came with a big luggage and I had to drag my bag all the way over the gravel! The poor wheels got stuck in the stone and mud. Was not only embarassing but exasperating! And during summer weekends by 6am, this place will be full of hikers and local tourists. ( Try not to come here on weekends/public holidays) Of the 2 main hiking trails,in opposite directions, both offer different views and require 1-2 hr trek. Ideally, 3 hr each, to appreciate the beauty and magic of the place. If given 1 choice, due to lack of time, I prefer the trek to the Myojin pond/ Hotaka shrine. Located on this trail is a noodle house with grilled Iwara fish. A kind of mountain trout. A rare treat. This place is chilly at night even in summer I know this hotel is expensive ( burnt a hole in my budget) but worth the spluch as this place is really beautiful and you will not appreciate the beauty if you rush thro on a day trip

We spent three nights at this hotel in a lovely area of the Japanese Alps. The hotel has a mixture of western style and Japanese style rooms, and ours was a good size, very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The view was also superb at the front of the hotel but other rooms may not have this. All staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. We were booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (not really anywhere else to eat in the area) and all of the food we had was excellent - again a mixture of Japanese and western style.

No complaint about the hotel and service. Scenery very lovely outside hotel. French food dinner is just average but tasty enough. Public bath is very small but during our 2 days stay , hardly anyone was there when i visited. I accidentally left a cardigan in the wardrobe and wrote email immediately the afternoon and requested they forward it to the airport hotel which I will be checking in 2 days later. At first , they keep insisting that I have to pay courier fee into their bank account and gave me all the details but I told them I cannot do that as i do not have a Yen account and I will bear the approx USD10 fee by credit card. But they insisted that they cannot do that ( I am amazed how come they cannot accept my credit card details, wouldn't that be how business is conducted with international travellers.) In the end , I gave up and just ask them to donate it to whoever wants it. After all the to-ing and fro-ing, they relented and absorbed the postage and forwarded it to my hotel where I received with great appreciation when I checked -in. So although initially I was very upset, this final gesture has redeemed this hotel in my eyes and I want to recommend it for their good service.

Location fantastic for walkers and service great in every area. Both dinner and breakfast was very good and they took the trouble to explain ingredients in English and catered for my vegetarian friend well. Room comfortable. The cafe was very expensive and not quite same standard as dining room
