The only failure of this trip was choosing this accommodation. It is simply the worst hotel in Japan. 1️⃣The location is remote➕The hotel occupies a small area, with only 12 rooms, and only one private bath that all guests can use in turn. Even the door has no lock🔒. As shown in the actual picture, the hot springs are very ordinary. Walking from the guest room is open air and very cold. The design is seriously unreasonable. 2️⃣Before checking in, the hotel did not inform you at all that you must install special snow tires and anti-skid chains when driving to the hotel, and this hotel can only drive up the mountain. We drove three hours from Nagano’s Jigokudani to Shirokotsu Onsen. As a result, it was snowing so heavily that the vehicle could not go up the mountain without snow tires. On the way up the mountain, we lost control of the vehicle twice, suffered landslides, and almost overturned and fell into the cliff. I am scared to think about it now. So around 20 o'clock in the evening, I called this hotel on the mountain to explain the situation☎️ At first, the other party said forcefully that there would be no way to check in and the room fee would not be refunded. And it's already past check-in time. We had to park the car and use the app to check other nearby hotels, but the closest one took half an hour. After about 10 minutes, the hotel took the initiative to contact us and said that if we paid the remaining room fee, they would send a car to pick us up the mountain. Seems thoughtful. In fact, I just want to make money 3️⃣ After telling the other party our current location, the hotel said "we will be there in 10 minutes." In the end, I had to wait 40 minutes for the bus to arrive. He claimed to have gone down the mountain a long time ago but did not see us. We stayed where we were, just on one road, with no cars in sight. lie 4️⃣After struggling for a long time, we finally arrived at the hotel around 21:00 in the evening. The door looks dirty. Before checking in, I specifically asked what time we could be sent down the mountain tomorrow morning. The other one was rushing back to Tokyo for class. The hotel staff said the earliest time was 9:30 in the morning, and then I went to bed. At about 7:00 the next morning, the male employee suddenly called and said that we could leave at 8:30. We said OK...but at 8:30, we were still in the room, checking whether there was anything forgotten in the room, and the other person stood there All kinds of urging at the door, very impatient, very bad attitude, no honorifics, saying "good morning", there were other guests behind me, etc. It really shocked my whole family. We hoped that the other party would take our suitcases off, but they refused directly, waved their hands, and said they would not carry them down for us. When they left, they did not say thank you for coming, and the driver who had not yet picked us up was polite. Why did we wait so long yesterday and only waited for 10 minutes today? The pick-up time was not informed in advance, and your "notification" was quite "timely". I suspect that this person is not an employee at all, but the boss's son. Has he lost all his qualities after staying in the mountains for a long time? Of course, I didn’t say these words in front of him, after all, we hadn’t gone down the mountain yet. The last straw for us was that we were given the wrong shoes before leaving 🙂🙃🙂🙃 5️⃣The hotel scenery is very rubbish and the bathrobes are also *. Since its opening in 1941, do you think any of its residents have posted pictures of their upper body online❓ What's the point of your hotel industry if you don't provide service? Environment, hot spring quality, catering, you can't do these things better than Nikko Hakone, Izu, Kusatsu, Beppu, Yufuin, Hokkaido. Forget it, the experience of other hot spring hotels is too good to be compared. 6️⃣In addition, the room does not even have an independent bathroom, so you have to take a shower in a shabby big bath. The hot water in the sink in the room only lasts for half a minute. Just imagine, it’s minus seven to eight degrees outside, and you wash yourself with ice water? The last three pictures show the hotel leaving us alone in the wilderness. Aborted childbirth

The most expensive hot spring hotel in Kamikochi. It’s a bit disappointing because it’s too small and there’s no bathing place in the room. You need to go to a public bath to bathe (it feels expensive because it comes with drinks from the minibar, which is not worth the money and not really needed). Only the private bath is a real open-air bath, so it is a little small; the public bath is semi-open-air. I feel like it’s better to stay at Shirakone Onsen Station. There’s no need to stay at Awaunoyu.

I experienced Shirono Hot Spring, a secret hot spring located deep in the mountains. This hot spring hotel is located near the bus terminal. It has few rooms and is very comfortable. You can reserve two free private baths for half an hour each time. It is full of sulfur smell. , milky white soup, very enjoyable

We stayed with our family, including our 3-year-old child. I was worried that it would be too difficult for children to stay at the hotel, and that children would be a nuisance, but we were very grateful that children were welcome. The room was spacious and the drinks in the refrigerator (beer, tea, juice) were free. The room was not cold and was a comfortable temperature. When you soak in the bathtub, your body warms up from the inside, so you don't feel particularly cold. The food was mountain vegetables and country cuisine, so I was worried about whether it would suit my taste, but it was all excellent. Even the mountain vegetables that I usually don't like were deliciously cooked and very tasty. I was also happy with the little thoughtful touch of the flowers picked that day that were served with the sake (sake tasting). The children were served rice and miso soup in the morning and evening, which was very helpful. The hot spring rice porridge for breakfast was excellent. The bath was, needless to say, the best. The milky white bathtub and the pleasant sulfur scent felt luxurious. There was also a diaper changing station in the large bath, so it was safe for children. The open-air bath can be reserved for 30 minutes free of charge. Unfortunately it was raining, but bathing under a hat was a memorable experience. It was a wonderful inn that was also child-friendly. I would definitely like to visit again.

We stayed here the night before going to Norikura Highlands to view the autumn leaves. In Shirahone Onsen, we stayed at Shintaku Ryokan, Saito Ryokan, and Awanoyu. This was our first time at Sasaya. Sasaya is a small inn with only 10 rooms, located at the very back of Shirahone Onsen, with a distant view of Mount Norikura from the windows of our rooms. As a small inn, the service is attentive and the attention to detail is excellent. The private open-air bath and large communal bath have a very nice atmosphere. The food was also delicious. It was my first time to try something called Kajika no Hone Sake.
